You implied a child that receives adoption services or state money due to a disability is a burden to the taxpayer. I took that as you arguing for abortion in cases where a child is to be born with severe disabilities. Killing the child before it can become a burden on the state as reasoning, or atleast one pro-abortion argument.
This is an incredibly sticky argument.
Most people are okay with abortions being legal while the fetus is still incapable of surviving outside the womb. However, most people are against taxpayer money funding these abortions. To throw in the humanity (or in-humanity) of bringing a child to term with a guaranteed poor quality of life makes an already nuanced argument even more nuanced. Like nuanced enough to fill a thread on it’s own.
It’s just one hell of a rabbit hole to get into where no one will agree on anything with anyone is all I’m saying.

I think there’s a lot of context missing here, but I won’t speak on behalf of these people.
There are actually many people who want to adopt, but can’t. The process is a nightmare and incredibly expensive - not to mention competitive. If you were giving your child up for adoption - you’d want to make sure they went to the best home, right? It’s like interviewing babysitters but x1000 plus added emotions of loss/grief. All the applicants you speak to will earn 6 figures, minimum, and are virtually guaranteed to be white, living in the suburbs. If you don’t fit this bill, you may as well give up on trying to adopt.
All the gay couples the left supports so feverishly are going to eventually want children, and for some strange reason, they can’t make them with just each other… Perhaps vying for expansion of adoption accessibility in addition to increasing the supply of adoptable babies plays hand-in-hand?
The first lady in the video said she wasn’t eligible at least.

If adoption is being proposed as a solution then the adoption process should be made easier and the child’s quality of life be taken seriously.

I completely agree with you sir. I could never imagine giving up a child that is mine no matter the circumstances or my position in life. I am not putting down those that do - I just can’t fathom it.
I had a girl first too and then a boy. When you hold them for the first time, it can’t be explained. In that moment, you realize nothing else matters but their safety and providing for them as best you can. I believe your children are one of the few things humans are capable of unconditional love with.
I have been blessed and acquired substantial material possessions and wealth, but I would instantly give it all up without question or hesitation for my children. As long as they are healthy and have what they need, I will be happy.
