Is this Test Protocol Correct?

My next tests will be after my second 10 weeks of TRT (200mg/week) via two injections per week spaced approximately 3.5 days apart. Doc wants me to double dose (to full 1cc) and then no injections until testing 7 days later. I guess I’m curious why he wants to test me in a way that does not mimic my protocol? Wouldn’t it be better to see what I’m walking around at in a “trough” right before an injection? Is the issue the half-life of test cyp?

I am curious as well. Yes, you would think the intent of the lab test would be to evaluate the current protocol.

OK, maybe this makes sense after considering the half-life of test cyp and the time it takes to reach a steady state level in the bloodstream (40 days). Since the amount of medication is in steady state after 40 days and I’m doing the testing at 10 weeks, doubling the dosage and testing 8 days later will not change to total amount of medication in my system compared to 2 injections with half the dosage (my standard protocol). The last dose of medication will simply have time to go through one half-life before I’m testing.

Was SHBG tested?

If you follow through with this whachy idea you won’t be testing your current protocol, this makes no sense.

Yes, would this test have anything to do with my Docs approach?

Maybe, you should ask him.

I will, along with what I’m gathering would be a better test protocol: to do the first injection of the 2x week schedule and right before the planned second injection 3.5 days later have my blood tested, preferably am.
