Yeah, that must be why several wrestlers couldn’t put Machida down or got kneed on their livers and knocked down by it like Couture, Tito, Soukoudjou. The guy got an awesome sumo base.

He was kneeing for the head well pushing down on the head not sprawling. Thats not how he avoided takedowns from the wrestlers at all. I agree he has a great ability to stay standing and is frustrating for wrestlers but if he tried that move that Seagal tought him he is down on his back.
