Is PCT Really Necessary When Stopping TRT?

Just wondering if importance of PCT is overrated when stopping TRT. For example prostate cancer patients who undergo testosterone suppression for a year don’t receive any pct. Old school bodybuilders simply tapered. Is it possible that PCT has become such a trend simply through bro science? Anyone have experience with cold turkey or taper?

While I’m very unqualified to answer, from lurking these forums it’s seems going cold turkey diminishes your chances of making a full recovery while a proper PCT seems to up the chances of making a full recovery.
But if you started TRT with low test would best case scenario not be simply getting back to your original low test state?

Disclaimer: this just seems to be what I’ve picked up on and could be wildly inaccurate. Take my post with a grain of salt until the real professionals get here.

I experienced stopping TRT cold turkey, a taper is needless and is prolonging the suffering. It’s better to rip the tape off your skin quickly than it is to slowly peel the tape off your skin.

If you’re a mentally strong person, you’ll rip the tape off quickly.
