I think he’s trying to say what you sound like you’re going through is a case of being a pussy, not actual depression. And to make light of depression is striking a nerve with many.

Yes, I achieved it, and so have others. Had I desired to look like Ronnie Coleman, I wouldn’t have achieved it. I wanted to a body I was capable of and I got it. I think I could have improved upon it, but I did not continue in the manner that got me it. I no longer have it, and understand why and don’t mind that I no longer have it. Though I do work out for fitness and health now, I don’t value being as muscular as I am capable of anymore, nor do I have the mental energy and time to have it anymore.

False. I can think of a few wanted things the universe or Mother Nature provides me and others, though of course she doesn’t provide things equally to all people.

That could be the case. Not everyone can get what they want, and many aren’t capable of getting wanted, or even needed, things.

I don’t think it’s the point, but yes, some people do suffer and not get what they want.

Statistically speaking you won’t look like an IFBB pro, but the formula is simple: have great genetics, work out, have adequate nutrition, and take a lot of steroids.

Being able to do that is luxury. If you are suffering from not having a luxury, you have a problem, I believe.

Personally I just want a body that is good enough that women forgive me for my personality. I use meditation to deal with the rest of life and Netflix when I can’t. Live long and prosper.

You have unlimited access and probably hands on help to the process that got your dad to where he was
He is still around and he is helpful when you ask
He is no doubt going to do this for free
He has no means of going ā€œthis guy is useless, I’m blocking his assā€

You literally cannot ask for a betterhand to reach this goal. But somehow you turn this into a narrative of sorrow? You should be appreciative that this is the level of ā€œridiculeā€ you get. I’m amazed nobody has called you a retard and left it at that.

I’m not going to read every post in this thread that is mostly bickering, so it may have already been asked…

How many calories are you eating a day? I remember being frustrated, with lack of size. It all came down to eating, eating a lot, and eating calorically (sp?) dense food. Many have said it before, eating is the hardest part.

That and linear periodization (that’s not the correct spelling either? fuck) are two things that need to be nailed.

I’ll drop one response to try to help, but that’s about the extent of my efforts…I was once spinning my wheels. I spent a lot of time in the gym and was always training real hard. Then I found someone who showed me the way…frozen pot pies and frozen burritos, hot pockets, sour cream on pizza, whole milk, combined with heavy lifting and linear periodization and I got bigger and stronger pretty quick. I figured I’d offer the same advice, in case he (they) are wiling to take it.
