Is Iran The Enemy?

I can put on my resume, I set up a student organization, with international connections. Students For The Near East, have a part in helping world peace, by generating friendship between Iranian and American students. Maybe, I’ll get an offer to study over there, and I wouldn’t refuse if they offered it. Who knows?

I’m involved in a shitload of other organizations, but I’m interested and earnest in this.
I watched the 700 club one morning and they did a segment on Iran. The younger generation is disconnected from the government. They showed a long haired snowboard skiier who was like someone from Jackass. They said he hates the government of Iran and just wants to live the way he wants. Later, they said the religious police caught up with him and forced him to cut his hair.

That’s the problem there, the religious police. They are like Muslim Brownshirts who bash heads of anyone who does not obey the religious rules. They squashed all opposition. Lixy talks about a candlelight vigil the people had for the US on 9-11. The Brownshirts squashed that also.

Can’t argue with that. Fact is, it doesn’t seem to bother the majority of Venezuelans who would rather have to live with Chavez than some sockpuppet of Washington.

Why is that? They’d be better off.
It seems some people put sovereignty, freedom and long term development above immediate material gain. The idiots…

Were you there?

They have religious police and they are a nuisance to some, to many…

How does that justify us openly calling them out WWF style in the world theater and antagonizing them and making the whole of their country more fearful of US neo-conservative imperialist Christian crusading than any overzealous Imam in their own country.

We created Ahlmenijad’s Presidency with the Iraq War.

They’re people are scared shitless that we are going to kick their door down, kill 2 million people all in the name of freeing them, like we did to their neighbor who before 10 years before, we supplied with chemical weapons to murder millions of their civilians because they refused to let us install autocrats in their country because we wanted to refuse them democracy in the first place?

I don’t get how their internal issues somehow disvalidate my attempts at wanting to create peace between our countries through dialogue, writings and an organization.

If you ask the long haired, jackass snowboarder kid in the USA about his government, he will tell you the same shit against the Bush Administration.

Sikkario, you should just quit now…but I know thats too much to ask. You’re proving what I said about you on previous page to be true.

Were you? Do you know everything that goes on in the middle east?

I read somewhere that the Iran morality police attacked the candlelight vigils. I may be wrong, but I believe I even posted and article on it in these forums somewhere.

Just for clarity sake, I did not say that the snowboarder was a jackass…I said he should have been on the show “Jackass.” The snowboarder seemed like a pretty cool person if you ask me.

When I was in High School wrestling, me and my friend wanted to get Hyoooooj. So he had stolen his grandma’s taser…man it gets worse. We went into GNC in the middle of the day and told this dude we like just inherited some money or basically made it out like we had a shitload of dough. Told him to stock us up with everything to get JACKED, ALL OF IT. He got like testboosters, creatine, some wierd polish sounding shit, all sorts of stupid shit. The dude put it all together, he even bagged it up before we checked out. So then we go to pay, and J went like we were going for a credit card, then he just tasered this fag, and walked out with it. Mind you there is only ever one dude up at GNC, and no customers, who the fuck goes into GNC at 12 o clock on Wednesday, so we got away pretty easy.
If they go about it that way, yes they are idiots.

Don’t be a dickhead! A police, any police, can’t attacks people because they’re mourning the loss of human life. This is yet another attempt on your part to demonize Iran by spreading rumors and hoping nobody challenges them.

I really don’t understand that why is it you feel you have a vested interest in fostering animosity. Learn to differentiate between what you read or hear spouted in whatever media you favor, and fact-checked stories.

Next time, when you think you “may be wrong”, please state so, write in conditional or include keywords that let your interlocutor know that what you presented aren’t exactly facts.

This is T-Nation, stop acting like a pussy. I was also like 15 when I did that. And no I’m not remorseful, fuck GNC, and fuck those lying ass supp companies.

I haven’t done that sicne, but honestly, it was pretty damn funny.

So Iran doesn’t kill drug users, but might kill gays.

I’ll look into this. You bring up an interesting assertion.

However, I have to indicate this.

I think alot of these supposed gay lynchings, are without much official rationale indicating that they were pinpointed on these people for being homosexual.

I’m giong to research it, and I’m ceding this point.

But I’m also saying alot of these supposed “gay murders” may not be for being gay at all.

Those teenagers who were hung, were hung for thuggery.

I don’t know where thuggery equates w/homosexuality and in claiming that it was for homosexuality, disvalidates alot of what the LGBT community claims about Iran.

Sorry I don’t watch TV.

Sadaam did the same and worse. No way it could happen in Iran.

Never. Especially not in Iran.

I agree, the US installed dictator of Saddam, serves as a strong example of what happens when the USA interferes in the ME.

Iran, has suffered very dearly from the aggression of Saddamn, and has always opposed his rule, even while the entire world was pushing for it, and arming him to the teeth for his murderous campaigns in Iran and Kuwait.

Thus, you’re right. The actions of Saddam, would never take place in Iran. They’ve suffered to greatly from his Western supported military state.

Psychpath more like.

Are you serious? If you are you need to study up the situation. Start with the bill of rights and go from there.

So…you will kill them, cause they are not ‘free’?

One of my friends is a bio-chemistry major, me and him used to make bombs and stuff as kids for fun. Not for harm, we’d just blow them up out in the woods, shit from the anarchist cookbook.

Anyways, hes really into that stuff.

He explained to me (not like he is the guru of everything), that in modern times, the science behind nuclear weaponry, is pretty much common knowledge.

The only difficult part, is the obtainment and development of the appropriate components. These things are heavily restricted and much of it takes a great deal of time.

A developed nuclear infrastructure is needed before weaponry, can be produced.

No shit. Iran is developing the uranium refining capabilities and the high explosive capabilities. They are working on all that shit now!!!
