Is Casein a Must Before Bed?

protein+fat+fiber

As mentioned already nothing is a “must.” However I do think it is beneficial to have casein and/or cottage cheese (good source of casein) along with some healthy fats and fiber before bed. Ponce suggested protein plus fat plus fiber and I have to agree with that 100 percent.

I am not doing it now but here is a shake I have used in the past. Yummy.

16 ounces cold water
1/2 cup cottage cheese
2 scoops MD
2 table spoon of natural peanut butter
1 table spoon benefiber or fibersure

Tuna and protien powder is what i have before i go to bed and Possibly 2 pieces of string cheese

how do you not get that?[/quote]

If you mean elusives joke, I got it - if you mean as a pre-bed meal, I’m somewhat confused as to how ‘nuts’ supply a complete slow digesting protein source, unless you’re eating perhaps 100g of them (even then not ‘complete’).
