Is Arimistane Legitimate?

Hey guys, I am one week in to a 12 week 400 test E cycle. I have done a similar cycle of 8 weeks with no estrogen side effects to speak of but I’m wondering about taking a low dose or low potency AI to minimize bloating/water retention.

Is arimistane (Androsta-3 5-diene-7 17-dione) worth anything or is it snake oil? I read a study where men significantly increased T/E ratio using it. But these guys weren’t on gear so I dont think this is an apples to apples comparison.

Basically, is this worth a shot or should I go for something legit but mild like aromasin? Or should I just leave AIs alone entirely since I’m not really experiencing an issue?

Thanks in advance

It’s snake oil. You should buy some pharma—I stress again, pharma—AI to have on hand. If you never need it that’s great. But have it just in case.

That’s what I figured since anywhere suggesting it worked was also touting a specific product.

Quick question if you have the time: It may take 2-3 weeks to get my hands on a pharma AI. In an emergency situation (like itchy nips before I get an AI) can I pop some of the nolva I have reserved for my PCT? Would this help?

Nolva will help with that, yes. You don’t mention any previous gyno issues or experience with cycling, so I’ll add this just in case: don’t be trigger-happy with estrogen control, and start low on dosage. If you think you’re experiencing high E2, wait a bit to see if it subsides. It could simply be your body adjusting to new hormone levels.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve done one cycle before with no gyno or estrogen issues. I just did bloods today and my E2 was 69. Normal range is up to 40. But my total test was 2300 so it only makes sense that my E2 will increase right? Do I need to just wait for symptoms or is this a sure sign that I need to be taking ancillary drugs to control estrogen?

Also I know this was probably early in the cycle to be doing blood work, but new source so I wanted to make sure the test wasn’t bunk

Yes, that definitely makes sense - testosterone is aromatized into estrogen. “Normal range” doesn’t apply when you’re on supraphysiological dosages of hormones, so yes, wait for symptoms.
