Hi,
I recently received my blood tests back from my doctor and he said the test
showed that I was absorbing the gel because my LH and FSH were depressed.
However, my total T was 229L (250-1100ng/dl) and my free T was 61.1 (35
-155pg/ml). My other results are as follows:
estradiol - 20 (< or=39 pg/ml)
FSH <0.7L (1.6-8.0)
LH 0.5L (1.5-9.3mIU/ml)
I’ve been doing 3 pumps of androgel at 1.62% and was on 4 pumps but that was
causing my hair to thin and my T was around 189 now at 3 pumps it’s higher.
If it’s being absorbed then why would my T still be low? I had the test in the
morning before I added my adrogel.
Thanks
Not much better. Still have the brain fog and very lethargic. For about 2 days when I first started the adrogel i felt I had a little more energy but nothing great. He had also tested me again last Friday a few hours after i put on my adrogel just to get an idea how much it raised my T after being applied. He said I could try a compound gel and if that doesn’t raise my levels much then I could do weekly shots.
I’m 45 years old, 6 feet and a 195 pounds. In decent shape.
I guess what I’m asking is it possible to have my LH and FSH depressed and still not be absorbing the gel? My doc says I must be absorbing because my LH and FSH are a lot lower now than they were before treatment
Thanks!
Sure you’re absorbing just enough to suppress LH and FSH but not enough to do anything. Injections are way easier to deal with. You can inject SC and not feel a thing. Androgel is totally useless.
Thanks, that’s what I was wondering. I’m going to try a compound gel first and then switch to shots if that doesn’t work.

Pretty much this. Although some do like the androgel and get good results from it. I still consider it inferior to shots.
