Lmao you guys just made my afternoon!
I’m loving the guesses but the truth is nowhere near as exciting or romantic as you (and I) may like. I’m just literally flat out from about 4:30 in the morning til late at night doing classes, drill, ironing, polishing and running between all those activities while somehow eating a couple meals in a day.
I again have no time to go into great detail but I’m hoping this weekend I may! Thanks again lads, seriously made me laugh ![]()

Friday 12th October
Workout Update
Ok so Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week I volunteered in a competition the college can participate in once a year. It is a international military comp held at West Point (Officer College in America) and is pretty prestigious to be a part of.
I have no chance of actually going to the USA but I wanted to push myself to try to get through a couple stages at my college level. Unfortunately seeing the competition around me, it seems unlikely!
Despite this, I did test my maxes (options for a 1,3 or 5RM) and did 3 very tough sessions in a row while still having an insanely busy week in general. So that’s a win!
Bodyweight - 74kg (roughly)
Day 1
Push-up max in 2min - 74
Squat Max - 1x100kg
5km run - 21:46
Day 2
Pull-up Max - 16
Bench Max - 3x70kg - attempted 80kg but didn’t have it. Due to time constraints I didn’t go for any other attempts. Could have easily hit 5x70kg.
Filthy 50* - 25:00 min
Day 3
Vertical Jump - (insert when get info back)
Deadlift - 3x120kg - similar story as bench, was also saving myself for the next activity.
60min pack march for dist - 7.8km - 25kg pack + about a 4kg rifle
Filthy 50:
50 reps of ten exercises done as fast as possible. The exercises were:
Fatman chins
Burpees
50kg deadlifts
Butterfly Sit-ups
Hanging knee raises
24" box jumps/step ups
BW Lunges
20kg push press
6kg overhead ball tosses to wall
Uh maybe there was only 9 exercises coz that’s all I can remember… Needless to say it was one of the toughest 25minutes of my life!
So the strength testing was done very hastily and at 5:30am. Squats for instance was 5x20kg, 5x40kg, 3x70kg and 1 at 100kg. All with about 90 seconds rest. 100kg actually felt really good and I hit depth nicely despite not squatting all that much and losing weight.
Bench was meh and really rushed. Wish I hit 5x70kg in hindsight.
Deadlift wasn’t as rushed but I was with a lot of strong people that were skipping up a lot of weight. Rest periods were almost non existent due to a lot of them skipping some warm up weights. I’m very confident I can hit 140kg for single most days.
5km run was tough. First time I have timed a 5km and for a non runner, it is decent. Very quick guys in this getting mid 19 minutes.
Pack march was gruelling. More of a pack run we were given 60min to get as far as possible. Again a lot of fit people here getting just shy of 10km.
I am crazy sore from all of this and I also hit the gym this morning for shoulder pump and myfacial release while we also had a battle pt session today centred around jerry can carries. Lots of physical activity lately!
Wow I forgot how cathartic writting about training can be! Gotta run and clean room, put buttons on jacket and (wait for it) ironing!
