Not all Americans are lovely just me
I have that country charm!! I do like eating alligator and drinking moonshine however I’m not that hardcore about it haha. I hunt deer and turkey but before I go out my hair and makeup is done and my camouflage is Under Armour brand… I am a little wild but all in good fun!
Happy anniversary Irish
Yes I came in here to say the same thing!! Happy t bday!
Thanks @alex44938 here’s to another year of hard work, good times and great people ![]()
G’day @Spock81! Thanks and feel free to stick around to kick my arse if you see me slacking off ![]()
Happy anniversary mate
That picture is HILARIOUS
I’ve never seen it before!! I love being on here for the laughs people give me. Oh and I was not seriously being full of myself which I’m sure you already know. I have been told I have a country charm but it’s mostly my bold attitude and talking to everyone I see being nice.
Wednesday 28th March
Simple But Brutal Session 8
DB Incline Bench Press 350 method
20rep squats 62.5kg
Chin-ups 6,6,6,6,5,5
Dips 10,10,10,10
Pressed for time again but dips are getting easier and chins are just as hard.
Squats started to really slow down by rep 17. With Easter here and my blatant disregard for recovery over the past couple weekends, I’m gonna struggle real soon methinks.
@MarkKO cheers mate!
@countrygirl2016 I’m enjoying your humour and country charm lately as well ![]()
Good work Irish getting closer to 70kg every workout
Saturday 31st March
Simple But Brutal Session 9
BB Bench Press 3x8
20rep squats 65kg
Front squats 15, 10 reps @40kg
Seal Rows 3x14
Preacher Curls 2x12
Halfway through the program!
The squats felt surprisingly ok (still brutal) and I had no time constraints so I decided to really kill my legs and did a set of constant tension, close stance front squats to hammer my quads. One set of 15 wasn’t brutal enough so I paused for about 5 deep breaths and squeezed out another 10.
Absolutely ruined by this point. Seal Rows and curls were rather difficult in between gasping for air!
Recovery has been bad. Sleeping in swags or not at all, drinking booze and not eating enough are all happening at the moment. After this weekend I’ve really got to rectify this.
Happy Easter!
Big thumbs up👍 For the squat session man.
Happy Easter to you too!!
Monday 2nd April
Simple But Brutal Session 10
DB Incline Bench Press 350 Method
Back Squat 3x80kg
20rep squats 67.5kg
Chin-ups 6,6,6,6,6,6,4,4
Dips 10,10,8,8,12
I had plenty of time today so I made sure to get all the work in plus a little extra. I worked up to 3 reps at 80kg on the squats as an ‘over warm up’ and to be honest it did make my working set feel lighter on my back but it didn’t make the 20 reps any easier. I was having an extra breath by rep 7 and by rep 13 I was struggling.
It’s a bit like childbirth though, looking back I can’t actually remember how reps 13-20 felt or how they happened… Anyway…
I got all my chins and dips in. The dips were considerably harder after doing so many chins, I wanted to quit after 20 reps.
Otherwise, it was a good session! Hope everyone had an awesome Easter!
I keep forgetting to add my Monday weigh in on my log. Last Monday I believe I was at 74.9kg. Today I am 76.6kg. This was after a fair bit of food so don’t look into it too much. Main thing is that the scale is heading in the right direction.
Starts to sound right
I’ve done a fuck-all widowmaker on machine hack squats - had that extra breath by rep 3 and by rep 5 i was having a struggle.
How many reps I did?
51
The set lasted an eternity
You sicken me mate, you really do ![]()
Best part was that right before the set someone asked how many sets I got left, told him “just this one”
Nice workout Irish
The overwarmup prior to the 20 repper is good.
Your body fires on all cylinders, making the first half feel fine and the second well not that fine but ![]()
The second half is all cardio and mental. You know you can do them you just have to keep going and going
20 rep breathing squats are definitely more than cardio, but I get what you mean ![]()
The mental component is huge for sure.
