Band Pull-aparts between Bench sets.
Squats felt easier 2day which I’m hoping means my muscle memory is coming back. So with that logic the squats should progressively get easier until about 75kg! Haha yeah right!
2day was an absolute killer at work. Layed close to 1000m2 (square metres) of turf. That with the squats has really worked out my lower back. I also didn’t get lunch til finish time so I have just devoured a big serve of fish & chips & calamari & a lovely cold beer. I’m going to be good and just have one though.
Nearly beaten the man flu! It’s only just hanging on by giving me an annoying runny nose now!
So more milk = more womenz? I’m up for that ![]()

It took me around 6months just to put a plate on my back. Having tiny little legs was the last reason I needed to get off my arse and start putting on mass.

Well I made it to the gym somehow. I got my pressing and squatting done than mid way through chins I felt like I was going to be sick. I tried a couple sets of dips and same story.
I thought I was getting over the flu but a night of swapping germs with a sick young lady meant that I’m probs back at square one ![]()

I’m enjoying this program for the “get in, do the work, get out” factor. 4 movements and I’m on my way out the door. I am also really enjoying having no DOMS. I’m working very similar muscles 3 times a week and it’s perfect at keeping the DOMS away.
The program is however lagging body groups. My abysmal calves arnt getting any love and I’m missing pressing shit overhead. Don’t even get me started on how there are no deadlifts!
I’m happy to be back in the gym though and also eating all day is good fun!
When you do your 20 rep squats how many sets of 20 are you doing ?

I was thinking this morning of how much of a mental challenge it would become when you start doing 2 sets or more 20rep squats. I fear at 5am it’s more mental energy than I have to give ![]()

The gym was rather busy this morning. Both squat racks were taken when I was pressing than one of them became available just as I was finishing. I grabbed my phone and water to go over to the rack and 2 guys got there 1st! Oh well I just decided to do my chins 1st.
Squats are getting harder. Hoping it was the chin-ups more than the increased weight!
Ran out of time to do more dips. I smashed the 3x8 in no time though. Decent chest pump. Yay for the weekend!

Yeah I’ll give it a go. I was hoping to make it to around 70-75kg before I readjusted my linear progress… I’m thinking it may be more like 65-70. Dunno I’ll just take it 1 session at a time.

20 rep squats gets easier as they go on… until they are not of course.
But the getting used to, seems to be the hardest part.
Do you do a quick ramp to a 1 rep some 15 - 20 kg heavier before the 20 repper?
I’m not sure if they have gotten easier or harder yet! Although I am having to slow down at less reps lately.
I do about 10-20 BW squats, usually holding the bottom position for awhile. I than squat the bar about 10 times with good strong reps, than I put my weight on the bar and squat it for 20.

I actually used to do this and it did make the weight feel lighter, but I just don’t have time in the morning to do this anymore. I also am just running the program as is for the moment.
I didn’t read the program, but being a Paul Carter program I thought you might do that.
It’s part of many of his programs, do what he calls an overwarmup before the working sets.

Dunno about what this whole female influx/transexual mindset that your forces have been through, but we have a station of US marines based in darwin out here in AUS, and a few of my brothers are based up there with them in general training.
Our army has folded under the pressures of left opinions, and PAYS for soldiers to have sex changes
Its in shambles, we literally have gender fluid soldiers in basic training who need safe spaces if instructors yell at them
I really wish I was joking but seeing this shit first hand, its ridiculous.
