The thing is that the military and its concern with concussions is relatively new. If this happened a few years ago, these troops would have been given ibuprofen and sent back out on duty. I’m not trying to lessen the seriousness of their injuries, just point out that these things are not unusual; it’s our awareness that has changed. You don’t need to have a missile land on you for it to cause brain trauma.

You make a good point, if they had mentioned something about that in the news it would have been useful. I’m still skeptical as to what really happened, seeing as the story keeps changing every few days. The way it sounded to me, as a non-veteran of war, was that they were caught in an explosion and somehow only got head injuries.
Yup, just being around ski patrol when they throw bombs (which are tiny in comparison), the shockwave and sound can be intense. I don’t doubt some folks got messed up from ballistic missiles impacts 50-100m away.
It’s possible it could’ve happened a few ways. Let’s wait and see

At this point I would be surprised if the US military comes out and admits that there are in fact severely wounded or dead soldiers. It would look real bad on them, and worse on Trump for causing this whole mess. I think the only reason the Democrats aren’t all over this is because of Benghazi.
Anyone who knows what really happened isn’t talking, we only have partial details of the supposed story. Maybe someone will leak the real story, assuming there is one, but they will likely end up in a bad situation themselves.
In my estimation and knowing human nature; people just HAVE to blabbermouth, id say it’s not as serious as has been reported. Or is being grossly overstated.
We’d have some definitive proof by now. Military personnel have access to FB and every other form of repulsive social media trash. Someone would definitely know the truth by now it would be spread far and wide.
Opsec is completely voided by some of these dummies. Remember when @40 FBI agents got busted sending dick pics and receiving nudes on department issued phones ? Or Peter Strzok using his dept phone to text @70,000 messages about Trump.

There were videos on Twitter shortly supposedly from the base after the attack, taken in the daytime, that showed blown up buildings, helicopters, trucks, and jeeps, and piles of twisted metal. No bodies though, but I guess they wouldn’t leave them laying around the next day.
Anyway, I don’t claim to know anything about this, I just didn’t believe Trump’s zero casualties statement and it turns out I was right.
I never saw those pictures. Nor wounded troops. Where is the indisputable proof ? I’ve yet to see it. I’m not on any social media so…

The Republicans talk about Benghazi. No one talks about what happened at Tongo Tongo. Our soldiers, ambushed and left … no air support or backup. Where’s the outrage? Where’s the investigation? Why isn’t there any?

That’s the thing, there is none. For all I know those videos could be fake, it could be from a totally different location, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they are no longer on Twitter. We can’t count on the media or the US government as we now see, and Iran and their media are not any better.

I was thinking Iran, but that would only prove the neocons right that all Muslims are allied against them, whether Sunni/Wahabbist or Shiite. If that is the case then nothing should be happening in Yemen, and the place is a disaster right now.

Technically we were backing this guy. He was pro-Western. The Taliban & Al-Qaeda assassinated him days before the 9-11 attacks because they feared him so much and knew he would help us destroy them.
