Nobody has automatic citizenship anywhere, you have to apply. If your wife gives birth at home and you don’t register the kid then he has no citizenship anywhere.

How so if nobody knows about it? If an illegal immigrant whose date of entry is unknown has a child and can’t prove when or where the child was born, does the government automatically issue citizenship?

That’s the allegation, I find nothing totally credible to either prove or disprove it. There is a disproportionately large number of Jews in congress (and surprisingly few blacks and latinos) but that’s all we can be certain of at this point.
Being born in the USA makes you a citizen. Proving you were born here is another question which has nothing to do with your point. That is, that everyone has to apply for citizenship. If you were born in the USA, you don’t apply for citizenship.

But you have to register your birth. By being born to Jewish parents (or parent) you automatically qualify for Israeli citizenship, but you have to register you birth with them as well.

Having a grandparent who is Italian qualifies you for Italian citizenship. I’m sure many other countries have similar laws. Why is it only an issue for Jews?
