Introductions/ seeking advice

Someone who is not me is following the follow diet, nutrition and supplements. Is he doing everything possible to gain muscle quickly and keep it??

Height 5’9

Weight currently 205 last time checked, down from 210. He only checks weekly.

History, used to be a bodybuilder, but through a back injury and depression, took two years off…

Goals (gain muscle mass. Even if there’s a little fat). Look better in a shirt and feel more confident.

Training schedule.

1.Chest/triceps/ latteral raise

  1. Legs and calves
  2. Back and lats and biceps
  3. Shoulders, traps, delts
  4. Legs and calves
  5. Arms.
  6. Rest

He takes rest days when his body is telling him, but for the most part 5 or 6 days then rest one day.

Using home equipment until August, focusing on progressive overload, volume and muscle pump level as an indicator of good blood saturation.

Diet(typically)

4000 calories a day, 200+ from protein, 400 + from slow and quick release carbs around workouts. I can discuss in more detail if you think that’s a problem. Drinking 2 gallons of water a day, with electrolytes as flavor packs.

Supplements..

Prescribed Adderall, which helps focus, depression getting tasks done.

Taking 200mg ethanate a week(fixing to switch to 500 in a week).

Superdrol 25mg daily, 2 doses split. Before workouts and later in the day. Been on it 14 days. Plan to run it 7 more days.

Creatine 5g a day

Protein shakes twice minimum w day with good amino acid break downs.

Pre-workout with caffeine and arginine. Getting a new one, but that’s what he’s using for now

He’s been following this plan for about 3 weeks after taking 2 years off from the gym. Strength is increasing dramatically, depression is gone body composition is changing rapidly. His muscles remember they used to be bigger I think lol.

Probably sitting at about 25% bodyfat. But wants to concentrate on workouts and bodybuilding again and isn’t worrying about fat too much right now.

Should add. Hes in celebrate recovery, which is a Christian version of AA. So he’s working on his self discipline mind body and spirit

How is his nutrition for growing. Is he crazy to think the superdrol has already put on 5 pounds of muscle? Will his body composition go back to the way it was at the end of Superdrol. Or will bumping the ethanate to 500mg a week help compensate?? Any advice or criticism or atttaboys ill take. Thanks for your time.

Why didn’t he give muscle memory a chance to do its magic?

Yes.

He is crazy to thing that drol has added 5 pounds of contractile tissue in a week….even in 4 weeks would be a magical result.

If he were a competitive Bodybuilder, muscle memory could easily exceed 5 lean pounds of muscle in 4 weeks, probably closer to 10.

These thoughts lead me to believe that OP has very little experience in regards to anything bodybuilding apart from it meaning to look better by building some muscle.

There is no reasonable expectation that OP can communicate anything of much value to the person he is saying is someone other than himself. And we are still waiting for some follow-up questions.

I thought saying the OP was standard in these forms. IDC if I’m just supposed to say me. No I’ve never competed as a bodybuilder. I just meant when I was younger that was a big hobby of mine and my dad competed, so I know more than some people about it. But it’s been years and I’m open to criticism or advice. I’ve ran dozens of testosterone cycles over the past 20 years , but I also had a drug problem which got in the way of my gains and I wasn’t making good choices with training and nutrition. Now I’m clean and my mind is focused on being the best I can be for the longest amount of time. The superdrol is more of an ego booster. I wanted to look better for a job in starting in 3 weeks so I really have been putting in the work with workouts and nutrition. Or at least I think I am. Just none of my friends are into this stuff. I tell them I’ve been forcing 4000 calories to try to add some quick mass. They are like oh cool. Where my dad(an actual bodybuilder rip2011) would ask me what I’m eating. What time of day. What I’m eating around workouts. How my form is on excersizes. Etc… I just don’t have anyone to talk to about this stuff with and was hoping some of you fellas would help me stay motivated to stay disciplined and stay clean from drugs.

I’m just looking for community to fit into. What questions do you have? I’m an open book.

I don’t think it’s muscle muscle. I’m sure a lot of it is glycogen and water. But I feel a lot fuller and body composition is changing pretty quick. I can probably find an old photo and then a photo after my first week of superdrol(2 weeks ago) and I’ll take another at the end of the Superdeol.

Couldn’t upload two pictures at once , as I’m a new user. This is a picture of me after breaking 11 ribs, broken hip, broken hand, broken collar bone broken wrist and having a collapsed lung because of a high fall. Was on life support breathing machine and sedated for 4 days.

This is my body as pitiful as it was though. And I’ll post a second photo on a reply to your other message of how I look a week into working out again. Not much difference. But mentally there is.

One week of superdrol. I’ll take another photo in a week when the cycle is on day 21. I see differences in the mirror, minor. But this is a marathon not a sprint right? Please don’t be too mean. I already have very low self esteem and hate my body how it is right now. But its gonna get there

Are you well enough that all the exercises required for your schedule can be done properly without joint pain?

I would suggest staying with 200mg/wk testosterone or, better yet, at actual TRT doses until you diet and train down close to 15% body fat. I have no experience using AAS above about 15% body fat.

At your best shape what was your weight and percent body fat. How long do you think it would take you to get back into that shape?

What body fat do you think I was in the second photo right when I started lifting again? I thought like 25% but I don’t know. I am pretty solid under this fat, so the weight I don’t think Iw more than 50lbs of fat? I think it’s closer to 30.

Update I’m at 212 I weighed myself today. That’s up from about 206 when I started the superdrol.

I think it’s take a solid year to finish this bulk and then get back close to 10-15% body fat. I’m really curious how long it will take too. Sometimes when I was using drugs, I would drop weight rapidly and my abs and veins would start showing again. But that’s not healthy that’s addiction and not gonna happen that quickly doing it properly. I don’t think anyways

My beat shape? Probably the few years after I wrestled in highschool.17-21yro I had lower body fat. Closer to 10% abs and side and were definitely visible when I flexes. I’m better at losing fat that gaining muscle I think. So I was hoping to wait on the cutting down. Why would I have to be below 15% to use gear? I just never have heard that. I tolerate 500 very well even without proper nutrition. IDK I’m just trying to stay motivated. What should I do if I’m not willing to lower the test? It’s a in the bed room thing for me too…I just don’t want to discuss it if that’s okay

Yes thank you for asking. Muscle soreness is harsh because I haven’t lifted in so long. But I’m able to do my excersizes without pain, I made a full recovery. My back(where the main injury was) is weak as fuck now. But I can still do one arm bent over rows with a 50;and my deadlifta are only 100lbs(home gym). But I think that’s what my body needs right now. Is to start off with lighter weight and focus on form and volume. Plus with the soreness already and weakness, even the 100lb deadlifts are hard at the end. And all my muscles are weak and catching up. But that’s another reason I’m trying to get some muscle mass back.

Well I was really hoping to gain some more muscle mass before I started dieting to lose fat. But I’m open to the advice. Maybe I shouldn’t try bulking as rapidly and just let my muscle memory(you said) and training get me back to a healthier composition. Idk I’ve been asking chat gpt what do do before I for on here and it suggested the 4000; calories to gain bulk. I definitely don’t want to drop the test even below the 500. It helps my depression, workouts and motivation so much and my body is pretty used to that dose. I’m actually only running 200; because my provider has some shipping problems and I had to cut it down just to not go without any. I have no natural tea anymore. I was drinking, not working out and taking 500mg plenty of times. Now with me being healthy (eating healthier and working out daily)(I know I’m fat.) I wanna see what this stuff really should be doing for some strength and confidence. I don’t mean to argue or anything. That’s just something I don’t plan on changing for personal reasons.
