Inspiration?

What fights, movies, etc. do you guys (and gals) watch to get fired up for a workout/class/fight/tournament?

Here’s my list (not complete):

Fights
Couture-Liddell I
Hughes-Trigg II
Jackson-Silva II
Jackson-Randleman (the fight isn’t that great but the post-fight altercation between Rampage and Wandy is insane)
Fedor-Big Nog I
Fedor-Fujita
Cro Cop-Silva
Anderson Silva-Franklin I & II (sorry, Rich!)
A. Silva-Leben
GSP-Hughes II & III
GSP-BJ Penn
Penn-Hughes
Ortiz-Liddell
Liddell-Silva
Couture-Gonzaga
Henderson-Wandy
Henderson-Big Nog (from PRIDE, it was the 2nd time they had fought, though)
Diaz-Gomi

Movies
Rocky III
Rocky IV
300
Raging Bull
Bourne Triology
Predator
Conan
Pumping Iron
Vision Quest (gotta love the 80’s!)

Movie: Bloodsport.

Fights: Any of Dan Severn’s fights (I like the old UFC).

Well, even though I fight MMA and don’t box…any Muhammed Ali fight, Mickey Ward v. Gatti I (the 8th round alone is killer), Rocky, Wandy v. Liddell, Sylvia v. Nog, Saku v. Carlos Newton (for grappling inspiration)

I get inspiration reading about the failures others have overcome.

I am actually more inspired by videos showing “handicapped” people doing crazy things, since that really shows the power of the mind.

I was never born with great physical genetics, but have had a strong mind. So I can relate more to people who aren’t the best physical specimens.

Did you watch “Murderball” by any chance?

All I do is look at a picture of Ronnie Coleman flexing and smiling while looking constipated. It gives me inspiration to train until I can crush a man’s skull while screaming light weight over and over again.

Music motivates me more, certain music brings back memories which gives me the fire and focus necessary.

I’ve posted this fucking video everywhere, and damnit I’ll post it again: My man Chico coming back from getting knocked down twice in the tenth to K the fuck O Castillo in the same round.

If that don’t get you motivated, nothing will… Corrales was a straight up warrior. RIP.

Anything with Kelly Pavlik, that kid is a bloody inspiration. Also, I’d say Valeri Klischko too, that guy has one of the hardest jaws I’ve seen in a long time. Music wise anything by Tool or some heavy shit to get the blood going.

^ You mean Vitali Klitschko? ^

Go watch JJ Machado’s Force Of The Spirit - You’ll never have an excuse not to train again.

I’ve got a bunch of the UFC all access shows DVR’d. If i’m feeling like being a twat and not training hard I just flip one on. No red blooded man can watch the Sean Sherk episode and not train.

The Naked Gun and Screech versus Greg Brady!

Yes.

As for fights, GSP vs Miller is a classic because Mayhem DOES NOT STOP. No matter how much punishment GSP deals out, the kid keeps coming. Respect.

Agreed, amazing fight considering what GSP has shown since then. Mayhem won in Japan, Dream 3. As an aside.

That was a sick workout.
