the drive from the bottom is usually the easiest part of the lift for me but took some effort

There some form issues with the set. My chest was down, knees weren’t pushed out, wasn’t really tight like I should’ve been, and didn’t hold my air. Props to deep squatters, getting out of that hole is a bitch (especially when your chest is down).
Deadlift
315x1,1 was supposed to be speed sets but were sluggish
385x1,1 same story so I figured what the hell

Oly squats
just 315 for sets of 3 as I was feeling pretty tired and not very good at this point; these will stick around though

After that just did some back raises to make my ass/glutes do something
I’ll never slack on lower body work again
If there’s one thing I do like about shitty days, it’s that really show me what I need to work on.
- I need WAY more hamstring strength.
- I need to start throwing in some direct glute work to improve my thrusting (srs).
- I CANNOT take more than a week off from squatting.
- If my squats are shitty, it’s a sure sign that my deads will be shitty as well.
- After substantial time off from a lift, lifting technique should be my first focus.
Things I will start doing - I’m really gonna start taking it the deficit SLDLs and when I do them I’ll nullify the lockout to keep the tension on the hamstrings as well as frying the glutes and erectors.
- More strict rowing work.
- Direct glute work like hip thrusters and pull throughs.
- Up my squatting frequency back to what it used to be (was gonna do this anyway).
- Use belt as least often as possible.
- More beltless Oly squats to improve my rebound skill.

As for the squats, I brought an AK47 to the fight but it was low on ammo.
