And I’m not being racist for anyone that wants to dick eat. If I called some black kid the N word at school i’d probably get expelled. If some black kid called me a cracker it would be ignored. I don’t see how that’s fair.
I bet if that kid on the bus had the same personality and shit but was black, I highly doubt he would have gotten beat up.
Because the word “cracker” simply does not carry the same connotation that the word “nigger” does? What is so hard to understand about this? It’s the same reason that you can call your buddies “bitch” but dare not do it to random strangers. The context makes the message. You’re being an idiot if you really think being called a cracker is the same as calling a black person a nigger.
Your obviously an idiot. Also you obviously have never been called a cracker with real hate behind it.
Fine, I’ve never been called a cracker and will never know what it’s like, but the difference between you and I is that I UNDERSTAND that.
Lol…listen man. I’m just going to be frank with this. You will never know what it’s like to be black and be called a “nigger”. I know it sounds just like that south park episode, but it’s true. You’ll never “get it”. And pretending like you can or do is just wishful thinking. So just drop the subject, because this is just a lose/lose situation, BECAUSE of that very fact. Call me stupid, ignorant, hypocritical whatever, but say it to your computer screen and leave it at that. Don’t reply to this, or to any more of these posts and I’ll do the same. You need to realize that life is relative, and if you don’t then you will always stay ignorant towards certain subjects.
For clarification, and because I know this will probably be brought up, I’m not black. I’m Hispanic, and I’ve had my fair share of racial slurs thrown my way. There’s really no understanding it, unless you’ve been in the exact same shoes. I know there’s people that understand that. So let’s all just drop this FAIL subject before it gets any worse.
That is exactly why this will never stop. No one on either side wants to truly talk about it or see the other side. We can’t for what ever reason forget about the past and all say “Look we all as a group fucked up.” Now how about letting it go and moving forward from here?[/quote]
I don’t think there’s anything to talk about. Because we can’t know what it’s like to be someone else who is different than us because all we ever know, and ever will TRULY know, is to be ourselves. I think if we, as a species, could just understand that fact, then we can say, alright I don’t know what it’s like to be him, he doesn’t know what it’s like to be me, so that’s it. Only THEN, will we be able to say, “Look we all as a group fucked up.” Let’s move on.
