Today I went in and worked up to my openers, and it went well. Bench was great with my brother as a spotter, since I actually got hand offs which was nice. 215, although it was light, is a good choice I think. Squats were great, no comments needed, and Deads were…ok.365 was heavy, so I think I’ll bring it down around 345 just to be safe. I’m going for white lights at this meet, not records. Haha
That was it, time to recover. I can’t do nothing all week, so I’ll stretch and foam roll, and work light weights at home I’m sure.

6 days out, kinda freakin a little. Ate shitty this weekend, why? I don’t know, just retarded I guess. SUPER BLOAT was going on this am on the scale (207), but it’ll be significantly less tomorrow after my normal routine is followed. I’d wager tomorrow I’ll be 202-203, and Thursday am should be 200 or slightly below.
Most likely, I’ll be right around 198 Saturday morning, so I won’t be eating/drinking all day just to make sure I’m under. When we get to the hotel, I’ll bust out the scale, and if need be, I’ll sit in the bathroom with the hot shower running to drop a couple more lbs. I’d so much rather weigh in a few lbs under than .5 lbs over. Then I plan on rehydrating with gatorade/water and getting my super NOM on.
Can it just be here already? Fuck!
Also, finally picked up some soccer socks this weekend, black. I’m going to be all “murdered out” in my black threads. Now I just need to decide on the color t-shirt (gotta look pimp, right?) Dark red, sky blue, forest greenish, or white? Decisions, decisions…

Hey Masch, them’s the rules, that’s why. I’m sure different feds have different rules, and I’ve seen one where it’s an option to go shirtless (but still in singlet) during DL’s. Shirtless during squats and bench would make the bar slip or the back slip, DL’s it wouldn’t matter.
Oh, and one other thing, when it comes time to DL, I’m doing that shit shoeless, because it’ll reduce the ROM by 3/4"! Take any little advantage possible!

Eating clean this week, high protein and avoiding fatty junk. That, plus a shit load of water a day (gal and a half) should bring me down under 200 by saturday. I should wake up Saturday under 200, then I won’t eat and will have a few sips of water throughout the day (the drive up and while in town). Soon as I can get into the room, I’ll hop in the bathroom with a steamy shower running up until the time for weigh ins (if I need to) I should be close anyway, so sweating out a lb won’t be hard.
Worst case, I don’t drop the weight by end of weigh ins Saturday night, and can come back lighter in the morning.
Planning on passing the early weigh in, and then drinking gatorade/water, or diluted cytosport right after to get the weight back to “optimal”. Eat a big dinner, then a big breakfast, and “Triumph” in my mind.
