Dove - Thanks for stopping in, and thanks for the top on hacks. I’ll try that out next week, should help a lot. The homegym looks more kick ass than it is, it’s cramped as shit in there. Hey, gets the job done though, right?

Dixie - Dude, that shit was NOT ok to read while sipping some coffee! Hilarious though, “48 hours later”…

All that’s left now on my list is to finish this outline for a speech I have to give tomorrow. I’ll finish the outline tonight, and work on the actual speech tomorrow at work. Being in charge has its perks!

Ive got more.

I had to look for it, but god damnit that was funny.

Got up early this morning and fed the Little Miss her bottle (practicaly done with those) at 4am. She went back to sleep, and rather than crawl back into bed (like every other day) I got my ass on the treadmill and did 2.5 miles, while watching the end of Human Centipede. Seriously fucked up movie. If you’re twisted and have a strong stomach, go ahead, but it’s pretty nasty.

Off day today, might do some walking or light cardio tonight after class. Work some arms maybe?

one more for fun

^ Dixie - I’ve actually read some postes that pretty much said just that on FB. sad really.

Humanity is a sad bunch, pity that we technically are a part of it.

/emo talk

If this forever alone doesnt break your heart, then either you have no soul, or you didnt watch the old seasons of futurama, which means you have no soul.

I love futurama and that episode did break my heart :(… what a sad way to start the day. Inkie, poste something uplifting for crying out loud before your log becomes a depression den.

I’ll have uplifting stuff to post after I do a little workout tonight, probably shoulder deload, and then tomorrow morning will either be squats or deads from hell. Or, maybe both, since I’m going to beating several big meals tomorrow.

Hang in there N, don’t get all depressed in here

Thanksgiving, was expected to be a long day, and it was.

Good thing I got up at 5 to workout, although the early morning + not eating + being a bit sick = meh workout

Deadlifts
135x5
225x3
245x5*
280x5*
Work sets for “5” week on 5/3/1, didn’t feel like I should go for the top set of 320 Everything felt heavy as shit, so I backed off in an attempt to not kill myself.

Rackpulls
275x3…and that felt way heavy, so moved to shrugs…

Shrugs
275x20
295x15
315x15

Pendlay Rows
155x8x3

Reverse Pushups (Like a rack chin, except the “down” position had my back almost on the ground)
BW x 8 x 2 Pronated
BW x 8 x 2 Supinated

Then, got ready and we met up with my Mom for breakfast, ate breakfast and went to the inlaws. Hung out there for a little while and ate their “dinner” early afternoon, around 1230 I think. Then had to go to my dad’s house at 3, wound up having to eat again there…ugh, so over Thanksgiving’s these days.

Highlights for today were the comments I was getting for looking so good

*Mother in law goes “ok, so I just have to say, Jason you’re looking fantastic!”
*Father in law says “Man, whatever you’re doing is working, you’re so much thinner” (or something like that)
*Sister in law says to her husband (right next to me) “Have you seen Jase’s big arms? You should get your that big!” -This I found embarassing and hilarious. My arms aren’t “big” by normal standards, but my poor brother in law is the textbook ectomorph, is short, and was a gymnast for years. He’s got a good amount of muscle on him, and he’s pretty ripped without even trying (which is why I hate him) and probably couldn’t get arms over 16" in less than a year or serious eating and lifting. So I feel bad for the guy because his wife just pointed out how much bigger I am than him (which I have been for a while and nobody’s ever said shit). No real point to this story, other than I was uncomfortable standing right there next to the guy when she said it
*Then my grandparents, who I haven’t seen in a few months, said “You look great, you been working out?”

“Oh just a little” I said. Haha

Finally get home 12 hours after leaving this morning, girls (kids and wife) asleep without much effort, and I’m sipping some coffee, just relaxing and digesting. Going to see “Tangled” tomorrow…yaaay for having girls! (right…)

Saturday I’m going climbing (indoor) for a couple hours, then hanging out at home having a “guys night in” drinking and playing xbox. Probably train legs tomorrow, and leave the shoulder training for after I’m done climbing. Also, I’ll be bringing my video camera to the rock gym, and hopefully put together a clip of all the awesomeness.

Happy Thanksgiving

Good stuff on pushing through despite being tired. I’d never get out of bed at 5am to lift heavy. maybe an easy short run…

yeah! for all the nice compliments you got from your family  Much better compared to the, “I’m gonna see you on freak TV” which I get…

I’ve been in those funky situations before and basically I would have pointed out the difference. In my case I was having fun comparing biceps with a guy friend and someone said I was kicking his butt. Yes but we have different goals. I want to lift heavy, he wants to see abs and be ripped… not the same animal.

simply politely pointing out that he was a gymnast and can probably do some fun shit you can’t (backflips? handstands?) would diffuse the tensions quickly.

enough blabbing. that rock climbing day sounds way cool. lookin forward to some shennanigans vids…

See the thing about this is, she just totally deflated her husband who by the sound of it is already doin great.

Sad day.

On the Hack Squats, cut the ROM to a little above seated position. You might be able to build something that is just about the height at which you sit… or lower if you like, to sit the bar on…

There’s no need IMO to go to the floor…its not a deadlift, if a quad iso…shorter ROM more quad focus…

winter is depressing enough. we don’t need to milk it.

Hi Joyce!

N-Yeah it was nice getting compliments, and I don’t think his ego was too hurt, he knows he’s more athletic than I am, and a better rock climber for sure…but that I’ll attribute to my having 70 lbs on him!

DF-She deflates his ass all the time, I’ll never understand the dynamic of those two.

Ct-Thanks, I’ll try that this coming leg day (tomorrow hopefully)

MiM-Heya!

So I didn’t get much done other than my deads on Turkey day, and climbing on Saturday. I wanted to get my legs beat up, but it was a busy weekend. I did, however, manage to get some lights up on the house, so that’s something

Rock climbing was fun as hell, and my forearms still hurt pretty bad. I could barely trim the tree out front with my little trimmers! Made a video of my brother in law, and myself. Probably going to do this more often, as it’s a cool way to see how I move my body position to follow the route, and see where I waste too much time sitting still. If you’re never tried it, I recommend it. It’s fun as hell.

oh ya, that looked hard!! But fun!!

Boys really never grow up do they?
My son was born climbing anything and everything…I need to find a place like that!

It’s so fun, I really need to keep up with it or my skillz go down the toilet.

Also, my freaking forearms are still wicked sore from climbing so that’s another reason to keep up with it.

And no, boys don’t ever grow up, and apparently neither do girls, because there’s a lot of chicks in this place most times.
