Injection site numbness after 16 days

I just started TRT about a month ago. I’ve been injecting .25ml twice a week with a 1 1/2 in 27ga needle. My first injection was my left thigh. I had decent pain for about a week and had a small lump. I think I pushed it in too hard. That one is good. Second shot I did the left thigh. This time I gently pushed in over a few seconds. The next day it hurt, but not nearly as bad, but it felt weird, a little numb. I didn’t think much of it.

Yesterday was 16 days. Almost the entire muscle where I injected is slightly numb and a little painful. It feels like little bugs crawling under my skin. I’ve injected several times after this with no problems so its not the medication. It’s also from a pharmacy not black market.

I went to urgent care yesterday. It’s not swollen, red, hot or super painful so they didn’t think it was infected. They did an ultrasound and found nothing. No clots. They thought that maybe I hit a nerve injecting and it was cause of the problem. They prescribed me Ibuprofen and Gabapentin.

Would hitting a nerve cause this or is there something seriously wrong? If it doesn’t start getting better, I’m going to the ER for more tests.

So what do you all think? Anyone had similar symptoms?

Would be my first guess. I’ve got a spot in my right quad that feels like that, with a bunch of scar tissue beneath.

I inject 1ml sometimes twice per week while blasting. I have had lumps, soreness, hit nerves, you name it. When i moved from hip to thigh, the pain would be really exciting before squats. Sometimes my quads would be so tight i felt like stretching would rip them.

When i hit a nerve, i keep going in and enjoy it. I may be sadistice. But i dont really sweat the small stuff.

Doctors did a full workup and arent concerned, i think you shouldnt worry either. Maybe move to butt if it bothers you that much. It is a bit more inconvenient, but damn near painless.

For reference, i used to use .23 guage, now use .25
I imagine you are using something tiny of you are microdosing…

The pain isn’t bad, I was only concerned that it has lasted so long. I think it’s slowly getting better. It’s still a little numb. As long as it’s not infected.
