Injection assistance

Hi guys, I know this is not advised, but I have been injecting test cyp using an insulin syringe - I do it 3x weekly, and normally into the delt or quad, there has been no issues and really convenient.

I know not the best way or best absorbed but is it okay ?

is a yes or no going to make a difference to what you do?

I didn’t realize this isn’t advised. I’ve only ever used insulin syringes. It takes awhile to draw, but doesn’t bother me too much. I found quads painful and just stick to glutes.

Yes, slin pins are fine.

I pull out the plunger and use a 21 guage to backload mine, may be a better (quick) option for you.

Damn.. seems so basic, yet never thought of that. I bought 200 slin syringes 2 years ago and figured I’d use them all before trying to find a removable needle alternative.

I do daily Test C - shallow IM with 29g Insulin syringe - mainly delts and quads - no issues so far!

The insulin syringes I have don’t seem to let you entirely remove the plunger. I would rather back-load even with peptides (that flow easily) because I don’t like dulling the needle by pressing it through the rubber seal before injections. Is there some kind of removable insulin plunger I should be shopping for? Is there a way to remove mine?

You don’t need to backfill.
An insulin pin will generally pull oil….it just takes about 45 seconds.

They will “work” pharmacologically.

If a drug ends up in your body, it doesn’t just go away because the needle was short. Absorption still happens. Hormones don’t care about your tool choice, they care about blood levels over time. But insulin needles change how it’s absorbed. Those needles are designed for subcutaneous fat, not muscle.

Many anabolic compounds are formulated assuming intramuscular delivery, which gives:

Faster and more predictable absorption
Less irritation for oil-based solutions
More consistent blood levels

Put an IM-formulated oil into fat and you risk:

–Slower, uneven absorption
–Lumps, inflammation, or sterile abscesses
–Medication sitting where it wasn’t designed to sit

So just consider that is really consider

And Not trying to hate, but if you’re still figuring out how to inject properly, it might be worth focusing on fundamentals instead. Training hard, eating right, and progressing naturally builds a foundation you actually keep. Plenty of strong physiques were built before gear ever entered the picture.

Wanting to change your body usually means you’re hungry for progress, and that’s a good thing. The smartest move early on is learning your body, training hard, eating right, and stacking consistency. That’s how confidence and real strength are built. Shortcuts don’t teach you that part.

I don’t fancy throwing a 23 guage 1 inch needle into my delts.

I use “Acufine 29g x 1/2″ (0.33mm x 12mm)” and if you’re in the UK they are very easy to source.

Trt shots at 3x per week IM will, over time, most likely create issues with scar tissue and reduced mobility. That’s 150 injections per year and over. 30 years…that’s a lot of tissue damage.

The trend of Sub Q makes sense as long as the injection is less than half a cc. Sub q actually gives a very consistent delivery, albeit with a slightly doused high end on the blood concentration, but this is probably offset by the frequent injections.

Well don’t do only delts and also it doesn’t matter the length sometimes I’ll buy 1.5 inch cause there cheaper for some reason

So you take the cap or lid of the needle and measure our 3/4 of an inch for you guys in the UK I think that’s 19.05 mm lol

Anyway measure that out and and you cut with some scissors or a knife the length you want so when you put the lid or cap back on the needle there is a perfect measurement of 3/4 or what ever u want exposed then your not getting that whole inch you don’t want so if ur just starting and need to get ur feet wet so to speak and get used to Im and eventually your realize that 1 inch ain’t so bad anyway I hope that is helpful and also I don’t need 23 g u can use 25 I’ve used 25 before sure it’s a little slower to get the job done but you definitely don’t feel them

And also if it’s pain or something you don’t fancy mate then just pin right after a hot shower and it goes in like butter anyway TRAIN HARD WIN EASY!! This is what the doctor all of you got me signed up for says. Defy one. Glad to say I went that direction, as never had a doctor spend 30 minutes talking about my blood markers and giving good recommendations. But the idea of injecting test in sub q still has me struggling. Want to try 3 times a week smaller ml.

Use an insulin needle and hit your flanks, hips and glutes. It doesn’t have to be in your abdominal region.

Just to be clear for anyone reading this — injecting oil‑based compounds into fat is not the goal. Whether it’s TRT or anything else, absorption and consistency come from proper placement, not burying it in adipose tissue.

If something doesn’t feel right or lines up with common practice, that’s usually a sign to pause and reassess. This community exists to share experience and help people avoid unnecessary mistakes — not to watch them learn the hard way.

Take the advice or don’t, but fat isn’t where this stuff belongs.
