Injected Too Fast But Not My Fault!

I just did a quad injection of test/EQ with a 25 guage and it started hurting and I realized it was going in 10 times faster than usual. Usually it takes at least a minute with constant pressure since a 25 is so thin. My Terumos are color coded so I’m certain it was the right size.

Is it possible that I could have hit some unique spot in the muscle that caused it to go in fast? I aspirated of course, and my injection was millimeters away from the last few (I could see the tiny red dots) so I wasn’t in uncharted territory or something.

This also happened to be my first day switching from deca to EQ. Is it possible that my EQ goes in faster than my deca?

I’m fine now. I just hope it doesn’t swell up overnight or something. It went in so fast!

This will serve as a lesson to never apply a lot of pressure without testing it first, even if you did the last 50 injections with the same gauge needle.

Yes, you will be fine. Also the temperature of the oil plays a huge role in how quickly you inject.

The first time I injected suspension I shot 1 cc of cold water IM in about 1 second, possibly the worst feeling ever.

Cheers,
PTD

Thanks PTD, fortunately nothing swelled up. I happened to have my vials by a window so yes, they were a little cold. I bet that was it.

1 cc in a second? That must have been painful. I hit a lymph node in my glute once and my ass swelled up so much I couldn’t reach my feet to tie my shoes for a few days. Other than that I’m a halfway decent injector.
