I am curious about the Hypertrophy program and would like to give it a go. I do have a question.
Where do the specialization workouts fit In?
I’m new to T Nation and have learned a lot recently just looking for a little info.

First, i would do the program as is before adding any specialization work to the mix.
The specialization work is there in case you want to bring up a lagging bodypart as well as develop a better mind muscle connection for that bodypart.
It should be placed on the 6th day of the program and should not last longer than one phase. So, no more than 4 weeks and then you want to avoid doing it for a second consecutive phase.
Hope that helps, as i said though, do the program as is first, there is plenty of volume already and you want to see how you handle it and recovery before adding more as the specialization aspect is added work and not the main cog of the program.

That makes sense. I assume week 5 is a de-load before moving to the next phase? Looks intense. Thanks for the reply and the info.
Hi so specialized training is for 6th day of workout? and you can pick from any? whichever body part you feel needs the most improvement? I am about to start this program and just making sure. thank you
I second the previous poster who said to run the first phase without any specialty workouts. I did Indigo Hyper for Phase 1 and Phase 2 a few months ago. It’s pretty demanding, and I had good enough results that I didn’t want or need to add anything. I ended up going back to 531 at the end of phase 2; it was way too demanding for me. If you’ve got the time and energy to do add stuff to it then by all means go ahead, but I think you should run the program vanilla first.
