I disagree. She slapped him looking for a response. He gave the response, therefore, she utlimately won. If he didn’t respond, or if he smiled and laughed in her face, he would’ve beaten her.

I doubt it bud, I think she would have continued assaulting him.
Do you really believe that, knowing that this was a televised gameshow and not some altercation in McDonald’s? Even so, if she continued the assault, then he would have been right to do what he needed, within reason, to stop her. But, he didn’t even give her a chance as his slap was instantaneous.

Yes I really believe it, besides it was a televised gameshow and he got slapped on it once already, why wouldn’t it happen again? I also think that his slap was more a reaction to getting slapped in the face and it hurting, then him thinking “this girl just slapped me, I’m slapping her back”. That’s why I think his slap was instantaneous.
I don’t care how tall your fucking soapbox is–if you find yourself in a situation where you are suddenly being attacked, you WILL react defensively (read:aggressively). Instinct isn’t something that can be overridden by what you THINK your principles are.
So there’s no confusion, I’m agreeing with you StrangeC.

haha I figured that but thanks for clarifying bud! DB did get me to thinking though, I don’t know what the laws are in India, but if this happened in America and the guy who got slapped decided to take it to court, what does everyone think the outcame would be?
