Indian TV Host Slapped by Contestant

Well, fair enough.

I don’t think I’d personally strike a woman unless it was out of fear of grievous bodily harm or something, but I simply can’t fault the guy or any guy that strikes a woman in retaliation to being struck himself, and I certainly don’t feel that the punishment of getting stomped and kicked by a mob remotely fits the “crime.”

I don’t think he cried because he’s young, as someone else pointed out. I think he cried when the 27th person joined the angry mob that stomped on his face a few seconds later.
I honestly thought he was crying 'cause it had dawned on him what just happened and he was remorseful.

I guess I agree in retrospect, the mob beat down may have been overkill hah.

You got that right!

A former British model has been jailed after smashing a wine glass on a student’s face and dragging it along his cheek.

Lisa Kee was drunk when she attacked Liam Sharratt at an upmarket bar in Deansgate in England’s south in 2007, theTelegraph newspaper reports.

Manchester Crown Court heard that Kee approached Mr Sharratt and a group of his friends, where they exchanged in “good humoured banter”.

But when her victim jokingly called her “a slag”, Kee turned violent.

The 29-year-old, who had a “red wine moustache”, demanded: “Who do you think you are?”

She tossed her red wine over Mr Sharratt and, when he laughed, she punched him in the head.

Mr Sharratt laughed again and this time Kee smashed her wine glass against his head before dragging it over his face and ripping his cheek open.

The gash was so deep that when he breathed his cheek flapped open.

He was left scarred for life.

Judge Martin Rudland described the incident as a “vicious and wholly unwarranted attack.”

Kee, who stood sobbing in the dock, was jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Mr Sharratt, a PHD student, was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and had to delay the completion of his studies.

If this situation was reversed (the man cut the woman’s cheek with the wine glass), would have the punishment been the same? Something to think about.

No, it would not have been, and the public reaction would have been far greater.

I wondered the same thing. And MarvilGirl you are describing a situation that someone I know is going through. The female use to hit and slap the male, even the children every now and then, once the man decided he had enough she’s trying to sue him for all he’s worth.

Here’s a pic of Liam Sharratt after he was attacked, and some of you are saying women can’t do damage.

It amazes me how many of you guys get all up in arms about a man hitting a woman after she clearly physically struck him first, but then you also get pissy about a man having to pay his wife alimony because she should be able to take care of herself…

You can’t have it both ways. Either we’re weak, pathetic creatures who need to be taken care of and protected, or we’re human beings who are expected to conduct ourselves according to the law just like men are.
I agree with alimony, but not $100 million paid out for the rest of a woman’s life. I also don’t think men should have to pay alimony indefinitely (It might not be like that, I’ve never been married or by extension- divorced).

Really that is your answer? If I want an equal job opportunity than I get full equality?

I wouldn’t mind. And that’s the point - FULL equality, not selective.

awesome, now blink your magic genie eyes, or wiggle your witchy nose and make things equal.

I promise not to punch you.

Sarcasm aside, I live my life trying to uphold actual equality.

And I wouldn’t mind YOU punching me. I’m a sucker for punishment.

(braces self)

Well that is great and I will hold my punch in reserve.

For right now, it isn’t equal so there goes your whole “no selective equality” thing.

You should watch this short video.

Thank you for the geography lesson as if that changes my point about the difference in culture. Secondly, he knew what the game show was about before going on and if he didn’t, it’s his fault for not finding out more ahead of time. THAT IS WHAT THAT ENTIRE SHOW IS ABOUT!

Women humiliating men. Understand? Under normal circumstances, she would be completely in the wrong but these circumstances weren’t normal and regardless, yes I do believe she did still cross the line in becoming physical but it’s not as if this happened in a club or bar. He should have just manned up and taken the slap like a big boy.

Women can’t hit for shit and yes he deserved the beat down afterwards for slapping her back on a fucking game show.
ZZZ.

The show isn’t about physical assault.

She assaulted him. He retaliated not with a punch, but with a slap. Women night not be able to hit for shit, but you’re still excusing bad behavior.

so they shoudln’t have slapped each other. i think the worst part of the video was that 27 guys who wanted in the stupid bitches pants decided it was proper to stomp him down like a pack of fucking pussies. i fucking hate white knights who think they are righteous for committing overkill on someone who had nothing to do with them.

she slaps him
he slaps her.

hes out of the game. that should have been it. what is this bullshit where a pack of guys out of nowhere throw a beatdown on the dude? fucking cowardly.

I hate this fake fucking heroics that goes around, women and men are equal. plain and simple. you don’t hit a woman, she doesn’t hit you this kind of mob behavior promotes women to act like fucking assholes, thinking they are immune to repercussions for their bullshit.

I’m not excusing anything, I’m saying that a guy who hits a girl simply because she redened his cheek is a bitch. Sorry for holding us men who are stronger and tougher to a higher standard, I guess that’s a problem you don’t have though.

It’s not about strength, it’s about respect.

Wanna know how I got these scars? This woman, was a drinker…and a model. And one night, she goes off craaaazier than usual. I don’t seem bothered when she throws a punch at me. She doesn’t like that. Not…one…bit. So, me watching, she takes the wine glass and smashes it on my head, laughing while she does it.

She gets closer to me, and she says, “Why so serious?”. She comes at me with the broken glass, “Why so serious?!”. She sticks the broken glass on my cheek, “Let’s put a smile on that face.” Aaaand, why so serious?
