diet is , sandwich in the morning, at evening some meat, carb ( mostly potato or rice), and some type of vegetable. Im in med. school so having time to eat small meals is the problem, do you think just doing small meals as in muscle milk boxes periodically would help me out?
I would take a serious look at this before anything else.
yea eating twice a day is not the way to go i tried it for a while due to my old work schedule but now that i have a more flexable schedule i try to eat 5 to 6 times a day atleast and i am getting leaner and stronger while maintaining my body weight

Am I reading this right? You eat just 2 meals a day and both of them combined are less than what my 8 year old daughter eats for breakfast…

Sad…

Med School? No excuse whatsoever…

Spend 1 day a week cooking up your food and boxing it all up, freezing it, etc. If you’re really a keener, you’d even prep your meals for a full 5-7 days ahead of time in the fridge/freezer. Then pack a bag or small cooler full of food with you…

There’s NOTHING wrong with being known as “the guy who always eats”, as opposed to “that’s the guy that could have been”…

There are lots of fat americans. Therefore, americans have bad genetics for getting lean.

Same bad reasoning, but the difference is that you can’t use THAT as an excuse and that you probably choose not to believe in it. Vascularity is a pretty bad measurement of leanness BTW.

I don’t get why people even discuss genetics. Why discuss what we can’t change? All I’ve seen it do is create a bunch of excuses and glass ceilings that only end up holding people back.

If only I lived on the moon. I’d be six times stronger. Guess I should stop trying.

Living amongst a very populated Indian community, I can say that I see no differences between Indians and any other race when it comes to body fat distribution.

The issue with belly fat could very well just be diet related. I know I find myself bloating around the mid-section when I over consume fats, simple carbs, salt, etc. I’m not 100% on Indian diets, but I know they are very concentrated in carbohydrates and I would imagine sodium too.

Some body parts will take longer to lean out than others.

This is a great point. IMO People use “bad genetics” as a crutch all the time and it’s crap. We can’t change it so why give it any real thought? If anything, areas where we are legitimately less gifted should be the areas where we work the hardest to excel. I believe that this applies both to performance and overall health (i.e heredity in illnesses).

Hey guys, did you read the study that says blacks are genetically programmed to jump higher and commit more crimes?

Also, there is nothing wrong with a cooler. I did it so I know he can.
I’m in med school too. Admittedly it adds certain complications but that is life. If you really want to achieve something you work around it, get up earlier…stay up later etc.

A few things i do:

 • Make as many of my meals for the WEEK as I can on a Sunday morning. Not only saves time during the week but if you have the meals made I think you are less likely to f*ck up !

 • I carry a cool box in the boot of my car with my meals for the day in.

 • I like a protein shake with oats in if I am really rushed. Try blending some sh*t up for your breakfast and drinking it on the way to class, I have done all sorts in the blender. Oats, eggs, whey, bananas, wholegrain bread & milk unfortunately being common (yes thats all in one).

If you can afford all these RTD shakes then they will no doubt help, though I know i sure as hell couldnt.

Most important thing in this is the PASSION to make it work.

And the dancing. Don’t forget the dancing.

UMMMM no, lets try again.

Hint: the problem rhymes with the word “quiet”

is it riot?

Lookin like Payne Stewart in that profile pic gregron…haha…He was my favorite golfer until he passed.

Tumara diet bilkul bakwas hai. =)

Everyone’s pretty much said this over and over again.

As a South Asian, I’ve heard my some of my friends complain about the same stuff. I hate it. I have an equal amount of Indian/Pakistani friends who break these stereotypes and carry significant muscle with low body fat.

Why do people complain about “Indian genetics”?

Shit diet.

Has everyone seen what we Indians/Pakistanis eat? Pretty much EVERYTHING is eaten with white rice and/or white bread. It is no surprise that many of us have diabetes and/or heart problems. You have to out-train years of eating like this.

Here’s some serious advice from one South Asian (who has seen this work in many of my friends as well as myself a longgg time ago) to another: drop the carbs for a little while and then evaluate. Try the anabolic diet or something.

Summary: blame the diet, not the genetics.

Peace, brother.
