Still waiting on these mythical strength gains. Not feeling any stronger than I usually would with all the extra calories. Definitely getting some new weight though; my lifting belt is out a full notch.
In fact, I mat cycle off the dbol after the third week to keep the weight gain a little more subtle, especially since I’m doubting that my strength will suffer. Any thoughts on running the dbol 3 weeks on/3 weeks off over the 12 weeks? I’m sure I’ll be over +10lbs by the end of the third week and I was only looking for 20 out of the whole cycle.
Diet day 13:
150g whey, 75g waxy, berries, banana, coconut oil, broccoli, 4 chicken sausages, 1lb tilapia, 1/2 gallon whole milk, probably a lot of brie and crackers too; I’m not nearly done my feeding for today…
Second hcg injection with the third test shot. First two hcg injections were closer than they will be in the future. Started splitting the test up. 0.7ml in the right quad and no pain at all 24hrs later. Cut the adex back even further to ~.125mg. Did 40mg dbol on day 13 (making up for 20mg day 12) and noticed some “bloat” for the first time. Hands are starting to get a little puffy now. I only care to keep the bloat down as much as it keeps my steroid use in doubt. Joints feel good. Bodyweight has stabilized at 206 the last few days. May try to get some pizzas in this weekend, though I’m up as many as 9lbs since starting (probably only 7-8).
Thoughts two weeks in:
I’ve definitely gained some quality weight. Wider at the waist but I look leaner at the same time. That’s pretty good considering I cut out a lot of high-rep accessory stuff that used to give me sick natural pumps but was wrecking my joints with the higher dose adex. Otherwise I feel no different; no stronger. Unless the strength gains kick in something fierce this week I’ll probably cycle off the dbol starting week four to restrict weight gain a bit. Pleased but not floored; absolutely looking forward to the next two weeks.
Training is going good. I like what BUDs said, dbol hasn’t made me feel “stronger” but I’m getting better workouts. No energy though. I’ve cut my squats back to one balls-out work set and a few back offs on a hack squat machine or with a safety squat bar to get some volume in. I can’t keep the intensity up for multiple sets. Bench is getting into rep PR territory. Deadlifting this week for the first time since starting; that should be interesting.
Pinned some hcg this morning using a new turino 29g (had a few BD 30g lying around that I started with) and man, these things suck! The needle actually stung and didn’t want to “slide” at all. It may be that the slightly larger needle is more susceptible to cold (I keep the hcg solution in the fridge) but I heat it up under a faucet before injecting and either way, it should’ve been plenty warm by the time I tried to remove it from my 98.6 degree belly. Hopefully that was a fluke.
Fourth test injection slated for this evening. It’s the second “split” dose so only 6ml.
0.6ml I mean. Christ, 6ml would probably hurt. Pinned 0.6ml, left quad. Bled a bit this time and had some trouble getting the needle to insert well; probably from the squat volume yesterday. 100 count palm massage and it was like I was never there though. Getting good at this whole injection thing.
Contemplated injecting the glute. Stripped naked, scrubbed it down, ready to roll and chickened out. I can’t see what’s going on back there and the quad injections have been great. If it ain’t broke…
~.15mg adex today. Not worrying about estrogenic sides anymore, though my chest was a bit pointy yesterday afternoon. Still taking 20mg nolva/day. I have a shit load of it and it can’t hurt. I may even get lucky and reduce this preexisting gyno.
Diet day 17:
150g whey, berries, banana, 16oz or so orange juice, 1/2 cup cream, coconut oil, medium half-and-half latte, 1lb tilapia, chicken fajitas (probably 8-12oz breast, decent portion), 50oz whole milk.
I’ve been really craving carbs the last few days. Since I’m leaning out while in a calorie surplus I can probably afford to feed those cravings. Damn I love orange juice. I don’t actively restrict carbs, they just take up space that protein portions could occupy and my shitty appetite will only allow for so much total food.
Need to get more food in dammit! I’m still at 206 for the fifth day now but I’m noticeably leaner so I’m not upset; there’s definitely some recomp going on. May just have to start the gallon of milk a day. This is a bulk after all.
Workouts are getting better. No “HULK SMASH!” to speak of but consistently improving. I’m putting a few extra pounds on the bar each workout and not losing reps; though I’m not sure I wouldn’t see similar results just being in a calorie surplus. Still weighing 206 this morning. When natural, my weight gain or loss comes in bursts but I did expect to see a few extra pounds by now. I have picked up the training volume though. Working on a large pizza now.
Got a wake up call. Found out a friend drank themself to death at 32 years old. 32. Liver failure. I’ve been ignoring a persistent “pressure” in my abdomen for a while now and I’m going to have it checked out Monday. Dropping the dbol until then. I used to abuse my body something fierce; probably the source of the gyno.
I never had more than elevated enzyme levels though, and they would always clear up with good behavior. Shit like this makes you think. I pretty much quit drinking leading up to this cycle but have had a total of eight drinks over these 19 days. Staying well away from the booze now, for sure.
Plan of attack: Hitting up two gallons of 50/50 Gatorade/water tomorrow, dropping all the shakes and pounding veggies like it’s my job through this weekend. I’ll take it easy in the gym, too. Probably hit some 90% singles and call it a day. Yes I’m prepping for the test. However, if I see my values are reasonable after a brief detox then I know they won’t get out of hand. I imagine I’ll be back on the dbol soon. I don’t think the stuff is nearly as toxic as binge drinking a few times a month and I’ve done that for over 15 years now.
Rough couple of days. I didn’t sleep at all last night. Not, “I was tossing and turning”. None. At. All.

So far, my diet has been meat, milk, whey, fruit, oils and vegetables. The pizza was to get some easy calories cause shit is kind of hectic, you dig? I’m talking about two gallons of gatorade tomorrow; not exactly sweatin the bloat. And gluten free rice crispies? That’s like saying zero-carb mayo. Are you on drugs?
Yes I am on drugs… and most if not 90% of your carbs are from fruit, orange juice which has a ton of table sugar, or milk… do what you want just thought i’d point out some inconsistency as well…
I eat the shit outta ground turkey. Me personally my body loves carbs so I’m lucky I can eat carbs all day, but I always eat clean carbs for the most part and avoid fruit and milk for the most part
Reread my reply this morning and it sounds really dickish. Just lack of sleep, shit food and stress man. I know what you’re getting at though and you’re input is appreciated. So you did a similar cycle last year? How’d that turn out? I definitely look “on” now so maybe a little bloat could mask that; not a bad thing. Everyone is used to me getting soft in the winter since this is how I’ve always bulked.
last winter i put on about 30lbs and got really strong but pretty soft. i was 240lbs at 6’1". im now 220lbs and have the same strength and feel much better and sleep better with the lower body fat and cleaner foods.
my diet was picked up from a local pro bodybuilder thats about my same LBM.
6:45- shake and 25g carbs (some times processed, sometimes complex)
7:30- 6 whole eggs, 1/4 cub egg whites, 25g carbs from oatmeal or rice
10- shake, 2 tbs natty peanut butter
12- 8-10oz ground turkey ,1tbs olive oil, carbs depend from day to day.
2- 8-10oz beef
5:15 - 8-10oz beef or salmon with gluten free rice crispies (30g carbs) and 1/3 cup almond milk
5:45 - 3 oreos (24g carbs)
6:15 lift
7:30-8 - 40-50gram shake plus 90g waxy maize
9 - 6whole eggs
depending on how late i stay up i may take another shake with PB
Diet day 20:
1lb chicken, 1lb salmon, 1lb steak, head of romaine lettuce, lots of broccoli and cherry tomatoes, 4oz cheese, 1/2 cup cream, 3.5qts gatorade, gallon water
Planned to clean the diet up and drop the shakes for the weekend. Ran out of groceries instead. Damn. 205 this morning, so I’m down a pound since dropping the dbol (last dose, Wednesday/day 18 ~4pm). Felt the lack of dbol yesterday in my shoulders; very achy when I went to train. People aren’t lying about them fluffy dbol joints. Stepping my game up several notches next week once I have some blood work done. Daily squatting? Why yes, I think I will.
Diet day 21:
12" double egg & meat subway sunrise melt w/ mayo and tomatoes, 50g whey, 16oz gatorade, gallon water, 12oz (cooked weight) mixed chicken and steak, steamed squash, 1/2 gallon milk, 2 hard pretzels, 50g whey
0.7ml test (~210mg) and 250iu hcg this morning. 0.25mg adex (first dose since tuesday/day 17). Jesus, hcg works. I haven’t been pinning e3d yet, in case there’s a problem and the rest of the hcg doesn’t come through, so I really notice a difference when I take it. My nuts are huge and hanging low this evening. I swear these fucking things are bigger than they’ve ever been!
