Sounds great! Sorry if I came off dismissive, but a lot of people come on here overthinking stuff, and when you’re measuring unflexed arms and talking about ratios I usually assume that’s the case.
The last things I’ll say are
I don’t know of any BBers, natty or not, who train with a program like what you’re using. And since
Then you might want to either concern yourself less with what BBers are doing, OR tailor your training more towards what they are doing, because training like an athlete and worrying about bodybuilding proportions is silly.
Lastly,
I disagree wholeheartedly. You can see from my profile picture I don’t have noodles for arms (I’m 6’3 for reference), and most of my bicep growth came from lots of chins and weighted chins, most of my tricep growth came from CG benching, dips and CG pushups. But everyone is different and I’m only speaking for myself here. Best of luck! I’d encourage you to make a training log here too and tag some strong people for advice. We have a LOT of really strong people here.
I do a ton of pressing and pulling and direct work and my arms haven’t grown at all since I started working out. They have changed shapes, and maybe lost some fat (so maybe growing?). It’s so frustrating. Every time my wife hears the tape measure click when I pull it out she just laughs and tells me they are the same
From 196-225 they stayed the same measurements basically I think my arms are doomed
It’s all good. I do train for performance, but I dont mind looking good too. I do dips with 135lbs strapped for 5 reps and chin ups with 125lbs for 3. Arms haven’t changed
A hint of cinism: If your arm work would be “fine” than you would not be posting about arm work.
But to try to be helpful: performance training and specific physique goals don’t go hand in hand. I’m not saying you can’t look good on performance training, but your current training makes your arms grow slower than the rest. Continue, it will result the same.
I may post the obvius here but to bring up a certain bodypart you will need good-old fashioned bodybuilding work. And you have to match your body “growth” to the bodypart you want to bring up.
For a lagging muscle there is usually a sequence: you can’t feel it work/contract properly- you don’t target it eith the right exercises- you are not doing enough work. For my case, any lagging bodypart I ever had was the first too. So I would start by finding exercises were I could really feel the muscles working and could get it in the fully shortened position. (E.g. preacher curls but stopping on the conc. For a sec and re-initiating the movement; nautilus overhead extension/rope dual extension) Also, I you could try doing working on the mind-muscle connection with a very-very light weight, multiple times a week, even daily. Also, if we are talking Arnold and golden ratio would never work a lagging muscle just on the end of a performance workout as an afterthought.
Than again, I haven’t posted anything what CT haven’t already said. There is a good article from CT on t-nation about lagging muscles.
