I understand that the study was primarily predicated on explosive lifts; however, I’m just as intersted in the body-comp benefits relative to the GH increase. Is this all supposition, or were noticeable shifts in body-comp observed in the study and/or anecdotally with T-staffers?

Ok, I got my shipment in on friday. That surprised me because I didn’t think I was gonna get it till monday. What follows is a description of what I experienced so far:
I took a 1200 mg dose prior to training on Friday night. No other supps (Surge Workout Fuel, creatine, etc.) Noticed a bump in strength. No extra energy but the same weights “felt” lighter.
On a hunch I decided to take a 600 mg dose prior to sleep both friday and saturday nights, and woke up both saturday and sunday feeling amazing. (weird but good)
Went in to train on sunday afternoon and forgot to take a dose prior, or anything else for that matter. Prior to this 225 lb. was a PR for me in the standing military press. My training weight for singles in the SMP was around 205. Sunday evening I put up 225 lb. for 5 singles. These felt REALLY strong. Not a struggle at all, just solid reps each. After 5 singles I was curious if I could put up 250 but stalled half way up. I probably could have gotten 240 but I was honestly just done with that exercise at that point.
Still a bump in training weight from 205 to 225 is nearly a 12% increase in that lift alone. It’s incomprehensible to me that this could have happened all on it’s own, as I work in the upper end of intensity constantly and a 5 to 10 pound bump is all I ever encounter at most.
I’m going to continue using only this supp for the next week to observe hopefully the same thing in my other big lifts. If I experience the same things and am satisfied with the results I’ll add this to my stack. I can’t wait to see what training will be like with both Alpha-GPC and Surge Workout Fuel running through my veins. So far I am very impressed… Can anyone recommend a good tattoo artist?

Working on week 3 of phase 3 of Thibs Beast Building Program. Last week I finished the second wave of the first superset (low incline bench and Close Grip, Neutral Grip Chins) with 3 @ 225 and 40lbs, respectively. Yesterday I took the Alpha-GPC (3 capsules) 90 minutes prior and got 3 @ 235lbs and 3 @ 50lbs. With about a 5 to 10 lb increase on every other lift in the two waves.
The 3 @ 225 last week was just barely that, I had three, no way I could do four. As for the 40lb chin, I definitely had another rep or two in me. The 3 @ 235 this week was the same, I got three w/o assistance, couldn’t have got 4. The 50lb chin I could have probably gotten one more rep.
It’s only one day’s worth of evidence, but I’m excited about future results with this supplement.

Not going to highjack this thread but I’ll put one more day of my results with Alpha GPC out there and be on my way…
Legs day, took 2 capsules 60 mins prior to workout.
Front Squat last week: 3@255, this week 3@275 (saw a 20lb increase in second wave of 7,5,3 for each set)
Romanian Dead last week: 3@345, this week 3@365.
I also felt a physical difference this time around. On Sunday I lifted more, but didn’t feel stronger. Today, I got a 20lb increase in both lifts and felt strong as hell on each. Definitely had at least 2 maybe 3 more on the Front Squat, and at least another rep on the Deadlift.
Didn’t mention this last time because I wasn’t sure it was related to the supplement, but there was less fatigue later in the workout as well. On both Sunday and today, I was also stronger on my second supersets as well. I felt like my muscles were fatigued, but the weight that I lifted was either more than the previous week, or easier to finish when held the same.

How should I dose Alpha-GPC to best improve explosive power during cycling road races lasting 2.5 to 4 hours? In addition to the sprint finish, explosive power is typically required many times throughout the race to attack and answer attacks. Is a single dose taken 60 minutes before the start of a race sufficient to have a significant effect at the end of the race?

I’d suggest trying this: 1st dose 90 min prior to the race, another dose immediately prior to starting the race. Obviously, you’ll want to take this approach for a test drive prior to using it in a real race.

What do you recommend in regards to timing of post workout protein and carb intake. My understanding that spiking insulin will decrease growth hormone. with Alpha-GPC I was thinking of waiting 30 minutes till recovery drink to optimize GH levels? How have you guys thought about this?

Any other actual reports on performance impacts. I counted 2 or 3 so far and they have all confirmed the percentage increase cited for the product. GPC + Creatine + Surge seems like a good combo for maximizing potential.
i took 1200 mg before my workout yesterday and i stretched and did everything as normal and on my WARM-UP set of squats with only 135 i completely cramped up and was forced to not squat at all. it was pain i have never felt before in my quads and i was wondering if the Alpha GPC could cause this because its never happened before and that was the first dose i have ever taken
I took Alpha GPC 1 hour before doing my bench routine today I nailed 275 for 3 sets of 3. Last week when I ordered my Alpha I tried to see what my max weight for sets of 3 was and I maxed at 255. So it boosted me up about 20 pounds. It was a great workout today. It definitely makes your muscles contract harder! I am impressed with this supplement for sure!!! And dont make fun of my weak ass bench fukkers!
I took Alpha GPC by the way in my lifting session today. The power snatches from floor seemed a lot more “explosive” than usual, and coming out of the bottom of Back Squats seemed a hell of a lot easier. I’m not sure if I attribute this to Alpha GPC or not, but it felt good.

Cut your dose in half and try again. It may or may not be related, but 1200 mg all at once is too much IMO.

I have a quick question in regarding to dosing. Ours is arriving today. My husband will squat on Saturday in preparation for a meet in approx. three weeks. He is approx. 255 lbs and is using Surge Workout Fuel as well. How much do you suggest he take 90 minutes prior? And then should he repeat that does in 90 minutes?
Also, any problem with taking Spike/FiniBars on the same day? Do it matter if your stomach is full or empty? Just looking for optium conditions to try it out.

How long is the meet? To start, I’d suggest taking 600 mg 90 min prior to his first scheduled lift. For most guys, the effects last an hour or two…so if the meet lasts longer than that, another 300 mg dose might be necessary to keep blood levels elevated.
Also, a SPIKE and FiniBAR combo is fine.

Thanks for the response. The meet is over the course of several days. Currently training is like this, Saturday squat, Monday bench, Weds deadlift. They practice as a team so the length is variable. Should he start taking as soon as it arrives? Or just prior to intense training. At this level so much of it is mental. So anything that helps give that edge is appreciated!
