How is this as a cognitive supplement (reading, writing, studying, etc.)?
Secondly (and relatedly), how does this compare to Spike? Power Drive? Take one, a combo, all three…is there synergy, or more importantly, negative stacking effects?

“Alpha-GPC’s brain-boosting qualities have been studied for their ability to enhance overall brain function.(4),(5) In young patients, for instance, Alpha-GPC may improve memory and the ability to pay attention.(6) There may be more targeted uses for Alpha-GPC as well. The treatment of Alzheimer’s disease is one such case and studies suggest that Alpha-GPC may indeed improve neurological function in these patients.(7),(8) There is also research which suggests that Alpha-GPC may support brain health and function in elderly people suffering with various forms of dementia and senility.(9),(10) Meanwhile, other studies suggest that Alpha-GPC may have promise in the support of patients recovering from stroke.(11)”

Tim,
GH increase can help heal injuries right? So the effects could certainly have an effect on injuries and could potentially help heal joint issues specifically correct? Is this enough of a GH increase to help reverse some of the problems that come with age, like: skin, joints, sleep?
Can I take Alpha-GPC with Power Drive?
The suggested timing for taking this coincides with when I normally take in a meal (~1hr prior to training). Is this something that can be taken with a meal or should it be taken separately?
So with this I am wondering if they become dangerous after a while. For instance I started using Surge Workout fuel and without a doubt my workouts became a breeze…well, until the next day. I would finish a workout in 30 minutes that normally took an hour and I didn’t feel all that beat. I am no stranger to tough workouts either. So next day comes around and I am almost dead. Nothing some more Surge workout fuel and a good warm up won’t stop right? Well anyway so if I took this new product, with Surge Workout fuel, I could easily see killing myself…if I stacked it with other Biotest products I could see my body exploding. Not that I won’t try it…I just wonder how useful some of these products are if they enable you to workout even beyond Surge’s ability to help you recover.

Sounds like the beginning of a great pitch for Anaconda.
How long do the enhancing effects of Alpha GPC last?
- Canal N, Franceschi M, Alberoni M, et al. Effect of L-alpha-glyceryl-phosphorylcholine on amnesia caused by scopolamine. Int J Clin Pharmacol Ther Toxicol. Mar1991;29(3):103.
…Scopolamine as in Datura? I think some kid in England ate some then chopped off his weiner and tongue w/ a pair of garden shears. I really do wonder where they found the participants for that study.
This one sounds interesting and I may give it a shot. Were any subjective changes reported in mood/energy/temperament by the participant studies?
Alright, hit up three capsules last night before hitting the gym. About forty minutes prior to a squat and back workout. I am currently working on getting my squat numbers back up to what they were in days gone by. Anyway, I got up to 345 for three sets of five reps and these were deep with good form. I felt strong and hit them confidently. The rest of the workout, pull ups, stiff leg dumbbell deadlifts, dumbbell biceps curls were heavy and intense. I like this stuff!

I’m wondering if this can be used with ALCAR? I read from Poliquin that taking 2400mg of ALCAR with Alpha-GPC helps potentiate it.[/quote]
While that may be true, my understanding is that doses of ALCAR over 1000 mg exceed the renal threshold. If you want to experiment with the combo, try taking a 2 caps of ReceptorMax along with GPC.

Take GPC 90 min before training…

I think I’ll be giving this a go. I’m an olympic lifter, so this might be a good test to see how it works, and for 30 bucks, why not? Plus if it helps with the GH, maybe it’ll help shed a few extra pounds. Also gotta see which fat burner to use, ALRi Venom or HOT-ROX. hmmm decisions decisions.
Hell, for 27 bucks I’ll give it a try. My bottle should be here Monday the 18th. Recovery is the key.
Would it be a problem to take this along with Spike?
Question for Doctor Z. Due to the increase in growth hormone, would Alpha-GPC cause my acne to flare up?
Is anyone going to answer up on how this compares to Power Drive. When I saw this product and read the info the first thing I did was check out the store to see if Power Drive disappeared. To my relief it was still there. So whats up… do these work differently or would they be redundant together. Thanks.

Hi Mike,
I am not aware of any clear relationship b/t GH and acne. Flare ups appear to be more a function of insulin action (specifically glycemic index and glycemic load).
