I agree, it is not racist to say that Africans (she did not even specify black Africans, she just said Africans) come from Africa and that the West Nile virus originated in Africa, because those are true and it does not belittle Africans or in any way imply that they are inferior to anyone, she just said where they came from. If some people are so sensitive about their origins so as to think that anytime someone mentions where they come from is racist, that is their problem and I hope they overcome their insecurities. Lol. I just love how to some people, when minorities point out racism, it means they are insecure, hate themselves or have some inferiority complexes. When it’s not ‘‘race card’’ or ‘‘get over it’’ is this new insecurity shit. Really? Hahaha!

It would have been racist and wrong of her to blame Africans for the virus or to say something along the lines of Africans are the ones who deserve to get sick, but merely observing that Africans come from Africa and so did the West Nile virus is most definitely not racist. Now, claiming that the mosquitoes in Greece came from Africa is incorrect, but that is another matter. [/quote]
That bitch posted far right comments even before the mosquito ‘‘joke’’. She’s a big supporter of a Neo Nazi party. And of course, she didn’t have to WRITE the virus (I’m sure you’re aware of the recent outbreaks of Virus Nile in Greece) was brought to her country by Africans. She just had to insinuate it. Also, it’s as if she insinuating that only Africans should get the Virus. Sickening.
Yes, not all Africans are blacks. There are Arabs and even white Africans. But which part of Africa does the West nile Virus originate from? I’m sure you know the answer
So, yeah, her comment was quite offensive. And the fact she compete in an event in which most Africans take part… smfh. Fuck her.
Anyway, we’ll interpret her ‘‘joke’’ in different ways. Right? Some will think she wasn’t being racist and other won’t think that way. Fine by me. She’s not competing and that’s cool with me.
The Greek Olympic committee kept her on the team in spite of her neo-Nazi sympathies. This was most likely the last straw. They probably felt their plans to bring a positive spotlight on the country would be overshadowed by her reputation and antics, so they laid down the law on her in the worst way. That bitch knew exactly what she was doing. She just never expected her antics would finally catch up to her during what would have been the best moment of her life.
Good fucking riddance.
