I researched and could not come up with anything but the usual day after type pain stuff. So i apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.
I just injected 1cc of 250mg Test Cyp (oil based) into my left quad. Just to be clear and specific… This is my third injection there in three weeks, last one was 7 days ago.
I use 1in 25ga pins, alcohol prep, aspirate, slow injection (45-60sec), room temp gear. Immediately after i removed the needle and stood up it felt like i was punched in the leg. I put a hot compress on it and it has calmed down a little, however it still feels like a nasty charley horse.
I get the same soreness the day after my injections but i have never had one directly after injection nor have i heard of this before. Which is why it raised my concern. Anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance.
Probably just too close to a nerve.
A 4 site rotation is fine for a biweekly injection schedule. Forget quads all together. Ventroglute and Dorsalglute are better.
Quads suck.
I found that after each injection, immediately putting an icepack on it for 15 or so minutes pretty much eliminated all injection soreness.
i like quads because i feel they are easiest to reach and easy to see…but they really do hurt a shit load more than glutes, possibly because theres alot more nerves? i think youll be alright as long as you didnt inject into a vein, which it doesnt seem you did since you said you aspirated. take a hot shower before next time.

The day after was way more sore than normal. Im used to soreness from shooting quads, but this time was worse. Almost gone as of today though. Im thinking i might give the ventroglute a try tomorrow. I just alternate quads, and thats all i have ever done.

A 6 site rotation is fine for E3D injecting… Delts, glute, ventroglute.
Be careful of scar tissue build up from only using two sites.
I shoot quads on a weekly basis with no problems.

How are the delts for day after soreness? Are my 1in 25ga pins adequate for using in all of those sites?

I never had soreness in my delts, using both a 1.5 inch 23g and a slin pin.
As for a 1 inch needle, you should be okay for delts. For glute and ventroglute you’ll be better off using a 1.5inch IMO. However, this does change depending on your BF levels. Bottome line is you want to make sure you’re injecting intramuscularly.

Ill give the delts a try too. Thanks man
A tip about shooting delts:
I’ve found the easiest way to do so is to kneel in front of a counter top and rest my arm on it, reaching across my body and then reaching across the other way with the pin in hand.
(That’s a shitty explanation, so if you kneel in front of a counter top and then cross your arms while resting them on the edge of the counter, it’ll give you an idea of the position I’m talking about.)
