I'm Scared to Death of TRT

Has anyone ever had vitamin D vitamins side effects that deal with a racing heart? I’m on a weekly dose of 50,000 IUs

I don’t have a history of heart disease. My lipids are low normal and markers are very good. Yesterday I had a Racing heart rate a day after taking a high dose d3 pill. I’m also severely iron deficient and have been on 65 mg iron pills once a day for the last month since my diagnosis of low iron early October.

This is my latest testosterone result. Estradiol is at 46. I wonder if the sex binding hormone globulin whatever you call it is behind this as well.

@luidox33

I supplemented 200mg/day elemental iron for 3 months before iron levels started rising. Why 65mg?

65 is all I could get over counter. I foolishly only did 65 and now I think I’m too low even with daily 65.

I’m fucking retarded.

Well I hope not but Amazon delivers to most countries I believe

Here’s what I use twice a day on an empty stomach
1 hour before or 2 hours after coffee or food
106mg elemental iron (1 pill)
Vitamin C 1000mg
L-lysine 1300mg

Got bloods back. Hct jumped from 46 to 51 in one month. All that’s changed is iron pills for a month.

Thank you dex.

My hct has never hit 51%. I’m not sure what I’m doing to cause that. TRT has always kept me between 45-49%.

It could be (probably is) the iron

I’m def feeling the effects. Itchy skin. Elevated resting hr.

Could my low SHBG be causing this?

My SHBG last test was 21
E2 47

@luidox33
Be causing what?

High heart rate and bp

I don’t know how SHBG would cause that. Either your dose is too high, you haven’t gotten used to the current dosage or it’s something else entirely. I don’t think anyone can tell you with any certainty and I’d be most suspicious of those that try. Your options are wait or change something.

Might be the iron, probably not. Any other changes? Stressed out?

No, so far everything is actually started to return to normal. The only thing that kind of upsets me a little bit is the resting heart rate at night tends to be 75 to 79.

This all started Sunday whenever I had this crazy unexpected fast heart rate just woke me up from a nap. Even weirder is that I took a nap LOL. I never take naps. I never have urges to take naps, and I despise naps but for some reason that day I was really tired

In all of this timeframe the only thing new and introduced was 50,000 I use of vitamin D three. They prescribed heavy dose vitamin D pill prescribed by my doctor to take once a week for two months. This was literally the first pill.

I started iron pills October 1. October 1 I had blood test revealing low iron. This is my heart rate while I sleep. Across October you can see it steadily rising while taking the iron pills

My resting HR is usually around 75. TRT elevates it in some people. There was a period where mine stayed in the 80’s for months doing nothing differently. Hydration can effect it as well.

Oh yeah I mean whenever I adjust my dose it does that but if this is iron related then it’s acting like I adjusted my testosterone dose and I didn’t. But my sex hormone binding globulin has lowered a lot more between the last test and recently. I wonder if that is somehow acting like my does is reacting differently

SHBG fluctuates so it’s hard to say.

Fast heartbeat is listed as a common symptom on the Mayo Clinic website for iron supplementation.

Keep in mind though that anemia can also cause fast heartbeat. So it could be the iron you’re taking or the fact you don’t have enough iron.

It’s def happened with depleted iron. I think that’s most likely.

@luidox33
Have you tried taking it twice a day? (doubling your dose)
