I know, not my point however. I’m comparing and contrasting experiences regarding obtaining prescriptions and medical help with or without his military physicians approval.
No you do not have to use base Doc’s but if you chose not to you are covering the cost yourself unless you can get a referral, any non referred care outside the ER or two unscheduled urgent care center visits per year your on the hook for. I’m trying to find more info so I don’t give the wrong info to someone else reading the forums in a similar situation but I believe all scripts must be cleared by the mil doctor. will try to get an answer on that today. You most defiantly have to run test by the mil docs, this almost got me hammered win a civilian doc ran a script for me why we didn’t have a doc stationed at the base.
Also its not having the needles that would get m in trouble as I’m running a script of test it would be having a non prescribed drug that they would find after checking to see if I was disposing of needles correctly.
No risk at all I plan to do it when I run into him. If he orders a drug test to see if I’m fishing for script for something I’m already taking on the side so be it I’m not on anything he hasn’t personally prescribed
Private docs are good, diagnosis still has to go I your mil med record as some medical conditions are disqualifying. Military knows all my medical conditions I’m currently on med record number three, I’ve been about as physically broken as you can be and not be discharged. I don’t mind the military knowing my problems its now a question of if a private doc writes a script if a mil doc can shit can it for “reasons.” If the answer is yes they can then my best bet is to get the script if at all possible through a military doc as they are extremely hesitant to step on each others toes. If they can’t trash the script then I can seek an outside solution and still get it in my medical record which gives me job protection. I have four years till retirement at the min, I’m not about to sink this boat now.
Ill check them out if doc wont play ball do to unfamiliarity with the chemical. I gave him a bunch of studies, we will see how it goes.
I was thinking about this. I am not sure what type of telemedicine laws a military base has when it comes to private medicine. I know docs have to have a license to practice in the state they are prescribing. I wonder if they can get one for a military base. I bet the answer is no.
On the other hand if you visit the doc in person, then that doc can prescribe to you anywhere in the states without breaking any rules/laws . That would be your final step. Find a doc during leave that understands the situation and can ship the meds to you. I know of one clinic who will work with you if that time comes. Just let me know. Until then good luck with your current doc and I hope he helps you. Can’t imagine the hell you went going through when they pulled the script.
I’ve read so many articles and videos of men who found ptsd solutions via hormone optimization. You should look into some of these studies and see if any are from
Military docs. I bet that would help if a medical military colleague is a proponent of the therapy.
Not sure I am following this. My tele-med doc does not have a licence for Colorado where I live.
He writes a script in Florida where his office is sends it to a Florida compounding lab and they mail it to me.
I would talk with the ships doc and see if you can get him on board. Maybe he/she could store the meds for you and based on your script they could supervise it. I have also heard some VA doc are also very good with TRT but its a crap shoot if you get one.
That’s interesting. I’ve spoken to three docs. Long story short: My friend is a physician and we’re tlaking about starting a HRT a business. I would handle the marketing and he the medical. We found that most states allow telemedicine practice but some are simple. Some states say “if you practice here you hve to meet the client in person before prescribing”. Other states say telephone : FaceTime or video is enough with labs and a physics from a pcp. Colorado might Accept any states medical license for telemedicine and etc. or the state your doc resides allows him to provide to anyone anywhere.
But yeah I agree it would be awesome
If your doc stored the medicine…
Let us know how it goes.
If you go to the Defy website I believe there are only two states they can’t work with so just copy them. I’d also copy their protocols this T mono shit will turn into a crap load of lawsuits in no time.
What’s t mono bro?
HaHa I’m 65 too old to be a bro I’m more like a pops.
T mono is T only no AI no aas no HCG no sarms no peptides. I did no coin the phrase T solo makes more sense to me but what ya gone to do.
Ok sir ![]()
bro stands for brother when I say it .
Genuinely curious about what you mean here. I’ve been on test only the 15 months I’ve been in trt. Taking 40mg EOD…have had a few bumps along the way, but generally speaking, I’m feeling good…much better than before.
I’ve already told this story more than once I’m not interested in repeating it or arguing with you.
That’s great T only is working I hope it continues.
Sounds good. Haven’t read the story, nor was I interested in an argument… Was serious about the question since I’m on solo T.
Sorry to bother.
@bcostigan41 no I am sorry. I though you just wanted to argue. The short story I was on T only for about 14 months. I got gyno and took my pcp to court where his insurance had to pay for my gyno surgery.
Here are my labs they basicly did not change for just over a year. The over range E2 and prolactin was the cause.

Sorry to hear you had to go through this and I appreciate you sharing.
Somewhat concerning since our time on trt is similar when you had challenges.
Did you have symptoms before the gyno or did the gyno just start forming? Serious question because I’d hate for it to just happen one of these months without warning.
Thanks again for sharing.
You know I had the honeymoon phase water weight gain and very sore nipples. I had to wear bandaids for 2-3 weeks. Then nothing for a long time. I was such newbie and just listened to my doc. I pretty much though anything that was happening was just part of TRT. Funny thing my doc did not find it my skin doc did. I went in for a skin physical for cancers. She said to get my prolactin tested. That was never looked at until I asked.
They say gyno is due to genetics. One does not get it if they don’t have it.
