I'm on TRT in the Military

That’s just nonsense. Too many docs prescribe hormones and have no clue what there doing. Either they don’t run enough bloods. Give to much so. Don’t care for free t … whatever they do it’s usually half ass “lets make a buck” type of solution.

Unless the hormone imbalance do to lack of knowledge and proper testing led to the gyno flare up.

So finally got a hold of Doc, the short story is yeah you can go on your own dime and get the script. There is a catch though, apparently each service has a list of drugs that are a no go and each services is different, the CG has a different list then the Army who has a different list than the Navy ect. If you go get a script on your own dime and run it by your mil Doc your good, if you are stationed in an area that requires you to use a designated no mil physician and he writes it your good. If its on that list and your Doc writes you a script for it he will get you a waiver and your good. If you don’t run it by your Doc and its on that list chances are unless its an opiate or some kind of upper that they don’t test for it, however if that changes or they do a broad screen because a bunch of guys do something dumb(see what is currently going on in Kodiak) and you didn’t run through Mil med your screwed. If its not on the list now and gets put on the list later and you didn’t clear it through mil med your screwed. The long and short of it is that your Doc has a enormous amount of control over what you can take and not get in trouble and that there is a waiver for literally anything. Also apparently the DoD is planning to crack down on PeDs and I expect the CG will probably follow the Navys lead so our current drug testing will probably be changing very soon.
