I think that people who are saying I’m transfering my anger to a ‘regular’ situation, into some kind ‘anti-illegal’ fervor are being illogical. I am not syaing this stuff doesn’t happen, but if you are incapable to obtain plates, incapable to obtain insurance, don’t have to pass a driving test…everyone who drives around you who is forced to play by the rules lives at your mercy because you WILL run if you get an accident and they WILL be fukked.

It pisses me off that we have a whole subclass of people in this country who benefit the system but don’t have to play by the rules and are basically given a blind eye to do whatever the fukk they want.

How can I be racist, I’m a goddamn ‘beaner’ myself.
Fucktards who think this is a racial issue have no reasoning capability.

Anyone who drives without insurance and flees seen of an accident is a selfish wreckless asshole. Illegal aliens always drive without insurance and must flee the seen of the accident. There 10 million illegals in the country versus 138 million people legal people of driving age. All illegals can drive because they are not bound by the oversight of the driving system. So 1 in 13 are not accountable to a system everyone has consequences for not abiding by. 1 in 13 create a much more unsafe driving environment, because they are set on fleeing or escaping from any accident. 1 in 13 drivers by default is a selfish wreckless asshole. The government turns a blind eye to this and we all suffer.

This also doesn’t even consider the fact that most illegals are males, who don’t value higher education, and come from environments of drug and alcohol abuse. Nor that they are hardup to get laid so they are more psychologically likely to be out looking (with alcohol involved), or to abuse substance to deal with the depression caused by lack of pussy.

You are labeled a sell out, or a vendido by your own people. You are like me, in that although I am an immigrant, I value American values and principles first. My cousin got deported for having an expired Visa, and rather than side with him because he is my cousin, I gave him an ear full. He did well as far as getting a job on his Visa, and learning English, but he didn’t follow through on his immigration obligations, so fuck him. If you don’t want to follow the law, then don’t come here.

I agree pretty much. Except my people don’t consider me a sell-out, cuz I’m not Mexican, I’m South American. We are 99% legal and educated in that group.

So this weekend, buses from LA and San Diego left for Phoenix to protest the AZ law. Both sides of the issue are expected to protest, it should be popping in Phx this weekend. You can see Obama backing off a bit from the issue, when he took no position on boycotts, apparently he looked at the polls and saw how an overwhelming majority of people across the nation like the law and wants less illegal aliens in the country.

Rohnyn - I think what people of Mexico don’t understand is that they do not exhibit any class when they come here. I think when you see immigrants from other countries who make extended efforts to learn English, and become productive members of society, people are more likely to accept them. Not Mexicans, what I see are clown houses and clown cars, with run down destroyed neighborhoods, cars parked on lawns, trash everywhere, and just filthy behavior altogether.

When my family came here, it was made very clear by them, as well as other Italians, that we are guests here, and to be gracious for any opportunity offered. And if we got out of line, our own people put us in check. I recall being told by my great uncle, to win the hearts of Americans by showing the best in us. So rather than demand acceptance, people rooted for us because we deserved it by our actions. When I go play bocce at the park with my Italian friends, we clean the park of beer bottles, cigarettes, and other trash, because having made this place our home, no one wants trash in their home. We drink wine, noccino, grappa, or whatever homemade hooch, and cops come and drink with us because they think it’s funny to see grumpy old Italian men talking shit while drunk.

Rather than people pulling out the race card and bitching and moaning, they should look at their own behavior to see why Americans might be so pissed. Let’s look at the facts, overcrowded Emergency Rooms, schools, welfare, prisons largely due to illegal aliens. Yep, I can see why they would be pissed. But illegal Mexicans take refuge in their impunity, screaming racism when these issues are brought up.

There was a radio interview with a Mexican politician here yesterday, if I can find it I will post it. It will make your blood boil. He is threatening to destroy the County Fair here, because Costa Mesa declared itself a “rule of law” city, meaning they will deport illegals. So as punishment, he is threatening to remove the County Fair forever. People called up LIVID demanding he resign. The interviewer asked this guy flat out where his loyalties lie, either citizens or illegals, and he had no comment. Outrageous.

My grandfather is an illegal alien who fled the holocaust. He became a teacher and eventually won national teacher of the year.

I get it. And I’d like it to stop. However I like to understand peoples motivations for their crimes. The proverbial woman who steals a loaf of bread for her starving baby is a different class of thief than a person who rips off bodegas.

Some of these people are scum of the earth. Some of them are just looking to provide for their families, escape violence etc. I’d probably do the same damn thing.

If he truly fled the Holocaust (not saying he didn’t) he could have qualified for refugee status, and been legal… The US DOES have humanitarian policies when appropriate.[/quote]

You raise a good point. I may have been innacurate. I believe he came over right after the war so he wasn’t at that time fleeing the holocaust. He had succesfully escaped and was sitting around a displaced persons camp in italy.

Not really my point though. I don’t even think what he did was right, Im pretty sure he snaked someone else’s spot, but after that he came and contributed meaningfully to society.

I think the border has to be closed up too but I just want people to recognize that these are human beings they are talking about and that some of them are fine people.

The guy who asked if I was a ‘fucking idiot’ said something to the effect that he hopes five busloads of people blow up. I recognize that that is internet hyperbole but still. We come here to share our viewpoints and I felt it was fair to bring mine.

Then you should expect to be treated like a criminal.

I am very vocal about this issue because you really have no idea how it is affecting my city. If you don’t live here, you don’t know. I am not without sympathy for those seeking a better life. There are legal ways to obtain permission to enter the US and pursue a better life.

I am not actually frothing at the mouth, or having a “kill them all” mentality. But when presenting a side to an issue, most often you start with your strongest lead and best examples.

Perhaps instead of luring people with sanctuary cities, those that are sympathetic to the “good illegals” should set up clinics at the border not just for medical (which then the sympathizers can subsidize the illegals medical care instead of me), but also document clinics to help them fill out necessary paperwork to enter the US.

That could be a benefit for both sides of the border. Maybe more illegals would stop at these offices to try and enter legally. It would also afford them protection from coyotes (the smugglers) and if they are victims of crime they then hopefully would not be afraid to contact the police.
