Comments
Last weeks results:
Total Test 980
Free Test 30.3 on a 8-25 scale
E2 65.8 on a 7-42 scale
SHGB 13- low

I have been on TRT for 2 years. Since those last tests I have switched from 100mg test cyp twice a week to 40mg every other day. Hopefully with my lower SHGB this protocol will my levels will be more stabalized, my T can drop down a little bit in to more normal ranges, and I can naturally let me E2 get back to a normal range. Cut the AI completely.

Comments from most recent labs above:
Total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol are high- not quite sure if they are dangerously high or just mildly high.

Prolactin in range but on the higher end?

T4/Reverse T3 and all my thyroid stuff looks good so I guess I can rule that out?

Low SHGB guy recently switched to more suitable protocol for low SHGB. Thyroid stuff all seems fine unless I’m missing something. Body temps are good all day. T and E through the roof but have already made changes to let those levels settle in to a normal range.

Main reason for getting all these test done is I was feeling so tired for the last couple of months that I could barely keep my eyes open.

Main Concerns:

Are those cholesterol levels something I should be alarmed about?

Changed my test dosage and frequency to be more suitable for my low SHGB. Do I also need to change my HCG dosing to every other day or can I still do that twice a week per usual?

IGF-1 being HIGH 263 on an 88-246 scale. What is this telling me?

Thanks everyone. Your input is always appreciated.

Are you taking anything it boost your IGF-1 like a peptide? If not I’d ask the doc about other tests to get to the bottom of the over scale IGF-1. Don’t google it it will scary the shit out of you.

On your TRT and bloods. How is your blood pressure? I noticed you did not have your HCT checked? I ask because most guys on TRT with a super low SHGB need about 1/2 of what you are taking and the result of the high dose is super thick blood your Hematocrit(HCT) and one of the first signs is you heart can’t pump that sludge around hence the increase in BP.

Well crap then I’ll try and stay away from the Google monster. I am not taking any peptides.

HCT was included in my tests from last week. It was fine like 46 I just didn’t want to post the entire bloodwork results from the previous test because I had a separate thread about those. I donate every two months to keep it below 50.

My blood pressure has been spiking randomly lately. Which I believe must have had something to do with me taking too much test. Stress and anxiety doesn’t help but that just comes with my profession and life so I’ll deal with it. I’m hoping now that I have changed my regimen that I won’t see those spikes of high BP. Other than that I have never had high BP and I have been on TRT for two years.

Edit: I checked google. Immediately looks for ways to lower IGF-1. I’m about 30 pounds overweight so hopefully it will go down as I drop weight. FML.

Mine was a little over just like yours. Dr says it’s ok because trt sometimes raises it. But I will monitor on every lab.

Hoping some of the pros can chime in today. Thanks guys.

As it is only slightly elevated, I’m not sure I would read anything into it. However, I would go ahead and check it next time labs are due.

Do my thyroid labs look good to you?

Are you taking HCG? or just test and AI?

I am taking HCG. Twice a week. 30 units. For last two years.

I was previously taking Arimadex but I am overly sensitive to it so I crashed my E2. Now it is high again. I have quit taking it all together. I’m hoping that my lowering my overall test dosage per week and injecting more frequently (EOD) that I can naturally lower my E2 down to a better range.

Also use natural methods. Warm lemon water would be my first step.
Also eat lots of broccoli, or other cruciferous veggies.

Bro I cant STOP tanking my e2, its a curse.

That’s all you take? how many IU?

Test increases IGF. I don’t think you have anything to worry about. Keep an eye on it.

My bad it’s 300 units twice a week. Not 30 units. It’s a 5 ML bottle. 1000 units per ML.

Might up it to 3 times a week for a few weeks to see if my marbles feel any differently. I’ve been using HCG since day one to hopefully be able to reproduce someday. We shall see. Even though my hormones have been somewhat of a roller coaster, one thing that has never been effected is my sex life. Libido and my unit functioning and all that are all good. Thankfully.

I’m starting to look at HCG. Getting my upstream hormones tested (preg, DHEA) and also my wife and I want another child.

Any issues with the HCG? balls kept their size on 300 twice a week?

I always think about this. I know my preg was very low and dhea-s was low normal. At this point I don’t think I want to supplement dhea unless it goes low. Dr said there is nothing conclusive on its use while on trt. And it will increase e2.

I will recheck dhea-s on next lab.

I’m not really sure how to tell if the HCG is working. Honestly I have always had smaller marbles. But they haven’t shrunk on TRT. I will say I think the HCG has kept them the same size and keeps them hanging. I can tell when a bottle is getting less potent because my marbles will start drawing up a little bit and not hanging as much. So makes me think it’s working.

I just passed the 2 year mark on TRT, never used HCG.

I’m having some weird symptoms that I was attributing to low e2, but now wondering if its maybe my other hormones.

Just signed up with Defy Medical and pretty much had every test imaginable taken so I look forward to getting Dr. Saya’s outlook on everything soon. My local TRT doc was seemingly more knowledgeable than most TRT docs, but Saya and Defy are ahead of the game from what I can tell from all the research I have done.

I have considered spending the cash and seeing Defy.

Yeah his consultations cost more than my normal quarterly visits to my current doc but I figure there’s nothing better to spend my money on than my health.

I know that when am not feeling well I immediately think it’s my trt.

But ya know what it may not be. So pre trt when I was not feeling good I was not thinking it was my hormones. Now because of the fact we are on trt and have read so much about it we tend to attribute to trt.

Also, iwas not horny every single day before and now we think we should be everyday. So I think there is a major psychological adjustment we all made or need to make. Perhaps too regarding expectations.

Reverse T3 may be high, need free T3 and it should be right at 4.2 with reverse T3 at 21. Did you get free T3 and TSH?
