I have no issue with GNC other than their ridiculous prices. I haven’t purchased anything from them in years.
I go every now and then, mainly for the entertainment. I like watching dumb people get taken for rides. I once watched a GNC employee sell some super skinny, tatted up, wifebeater wearing “badass” teenager about 50 pounds of weightgainer. The kid had probably never even touched a weight in his life and had to weigh just under a buck 20.
Also, one time they gave me a free sample of some fish oil chews. Tasted like a sugarless starburst that had been soaking in a pond. yum.
^ I like those and there the main reason I go there lol. seriously I go there from time to time, usually at the beginning of the month when I can get stuff on sale (I am a GOLD CARD MEMBER YAHTZEE!!) Nobody really fucks with me, they ask me if I need help I say no and thats that. I have 17 shakers with the metal springs in em, GNC FTW!
Those chews crack me up. They have really been pimping them hard. The last couple times I went in a GNC they were really pushing those chews. I can’t imagine someone taking them seriously.
But, GNC is great when you want a candy bar!
in high school a freind worked at a small franchised GNC on weekends. if someone returned something that had been opened, they had to throw it out and just return the container, so we would fill gallon zip locks full of returned powder.
some stores are franchised out, some are GNC owned i believe, the GNC ones are the commission ones where the pencil necked geeks try to not so subtly upsell you
I had to hit a GNC a couple of weeks ago when I was at a mall with my brother for the day (didn’t want to eat anything from the food court). A couple who were looking at different products asked me what I thought, as I “obviously had some experience”, and after fielding a few questions, the store clerk and manager both started lobbing queries at me as well. Long story short, the manager asked for my card -lol. I said they could email me if they have any further questions

Yep. Usually when I go to GNC it’s because I’m in a hurry, but I’m feeling too dedicated for fast food so I’ll get a protein bar/shake instead.

today during work, the guy i work with wanted to run into GNC. I obliged, and to my surprise the guy working there was a big looking guy. my partner was parusing and the guy started talking to me blah blah blah then went on how hes competed 3 times and the like. we started talking products and he was bashing some of them, and my partner asked about weight loss supps, and they had lipo6 black on sale for $30. So then i asked what his thought on Biotest supps were, and he said oh yeah HOT-ROX is a much better product, but for the $30 i guess the lip6 black is worth a try lol.
I haven’t ordered anything or been in a gnc in about 10 years. For the most part, if i need something right away and i don’t have time to order it, i can usually find it in the grocery store.(mainly protein, or decent carb bars, though i would kindof like to try the FINiBARs)

I hate GNC. A supplement place just opened up run by a guy I know who actually knows his shit, and has been in the game for a lot of years.
The first thing I told him was, “Thank god you’re here, I was so fucking sick of dealing with those assholes at GNC.”
He just laughed and said that i was like the millionth person that told him that.
