Ice Core Tells Same Story

I find that drilling information interesting.
JeffRo really likes being drilled.

How’bout the rings in your bathtub? Have you studied those?

…so that I can know what to ignore when argumenting.

Translation: Any topic relating to Global Warming is and ideal opportunity to bash Al Gore, even when he hasn’t been mentioned once in over a dozen previous posts.

This was actually the main point that JeffRo wanted to make with his little song and dance.

…so that I may ignore them. Oops, I’ve already said that. Bweep! Bweep!

…but not as easy as it seems to be when we simply repeat the same lies often enough.

JeffRo the Clown really wants to make clear that he doesn’t swallow just anything.

While, of course, taking another bash at Al Gore. Ba-Dong!

What is political about pointing out the drastic decrease in hurricanes this year?

Using it to argue that “global warming” has no effect on hurricanes is the political portion…

The numbers by themselves are just numbers of course.
Using it to argue that it does is what portion then?

Ecology is not my field of study, but you sure seem to be clamoring to find some reason to avoid acknowledging the fact that we may be causing irreparable damage to our ecosystem that your grandchildren may pay dearly for.

Perhaps you can explain why I should avoid taking note or action that could possibly have the slightest chance to change this. Please be specific. My field is biology, not Keeling curves.
You’re wasting your time, my wise friend. Either they get it, or they don’t; and, unfortunately, they don’t.

Sure, recent events – namely, the unusually mild hurricane season – have proven that we have no clue how to accurately predict weather long term. No surprise there – our atmosphere is a Chaotic System.

What they don’t get is that the fact that we have no clue on what is really going to happen makes it even more important to scale back as quickly as possible on the actions that are changing the atmosphere’s composition. It’s a simple rule: don’t mess with what you cannot understand.

What we’re doing is basically like taking medications (or steroids, for an example closer to us) randomly without reading up on them, i.e., without knowing their effects, their side-effects or their interactions…

Much like that situation, quitting cold-turkey is not an option, but any and all reduction, as quickly as possible, is definitely a good idea.

I could spell it our further but, as I said, either they get it… or they don’t.
