I Smoke

That’s how I did it.
Good luck.

harper, good luck.

You cant lift if you’re dead. Good luck quitting.

I used to smoke. Not much, maybe a pack every two or three days. When I quit, I noticed my lifts went up, I had an easier time going through workouts, and I enjoyed being in the gym again.

Good luck quitting.
But, then again, I guess luck has nothing to do with it.

Start using smokeless tobacco like a real man.

It’s powerlifter approved.

Ahh with your attitude for most of this thread you’ll die of lung cancer before you will even get any worthwhile results in the gym. So don’t worry about it.

I think it’s funny that you needed strangers to justify you wanting to quit.

You want proof? Check out my blood tests.

Not so long ago my red blood count was slowly increasing. If it had continued at the same rate I would have been dead by now.

As it was I quit when my specialist told me it would kil me. Not really because he told me that, but it helped. I believed I should quit anyway.

Now (without any change in meds or diet etc.) my red blood count is normal and unless I get run over by a bus or something I’m going to live as normal a life as is possible for a diabetic.

I suppose one or two is no less bad for you than breathing the air in most cities, but for the sake of it do you really want to continue?

Markus Ruhl smokes. Unlike Ronnie Coleman or Kevin Levrone, Ruhl actually doesn’t have the best genetics for Bodybuilding. When he started training he was only 120lbs. I don’t think he’s had much trouble putting on mass.

While this may not be credible, I read on Wikipedia that Ruhl did 3 reps of 600lbs for shoulder press in a Smith Machine. Even if this isn’t true, he’s one of the strongest people who has ever lived.

Ruhl’s friends ask him if he thinks what he’s doing to his body through training is healthy. He replies with “It doesn’t matter if what I’m doing is healthy or not. I’m a professional bodybuilder. It’s my job to have big muscles. That’s why I do it.” Pretty Kantian right there. He’s clearly a good German.

So you can be big and strong and still smoke.
It defiantly won’t help you at all but it’s possible.

However, if you smoke, please don’t ever talk about health. Don’t ever tell anyone that they should be taking vitamins or oils or what-have-you. Don’t talk about how someone needs therapeutic massage or herbal tea or anything. If you smoke more than 1 pack a month, you cannot tell people how to be healthy.

I cant imagine having the discipline needed to be a pro BBer , but not having the discipline needed to quit smoking .

You don’t realize it, but you smell like shit.

Nobody likes a quitter.

I used to smoke. I quit. You will too if you have a desire to do so.

Be a man and smoke or be a man and don’t. Asking a bunch of strangers their opinion of your bad habit on an internet forum just makes you look like a pussy. Grow some sack.
