2 meets coming up I want to do. April 7th Bench/Deadlift and May 11th Bench/Dead in Allenwood PA.

Skwatz!

Warm up and stretch

Squats-45x10, 45x5, 95x5, 135x5, 155x5, 185x6, 135x10, 95x10
Hamstring curls- 70x15, 60x15, 50x15
Back extensions- 3x20
Knee raises- 4x15
Curl/lateral raise superset-4x20

All in all a good workout. Im going to use squat day as a pseudo assistance day leading up to the meet.

Cook from scratch as much as you can to save money.

Deadlift!

Deadlift-135x5, 185x5, 225x3, 275x3, 315x1, 335x1, 355x1, 315x1, 225x16, 135x35

I did both rep sets with double overhand grip. Felt like I was going to explode on rep 15 of 225. I switched to hook grip on rep 25 on the 135 set.

Did 2x10 on back extensions, some planks, and some leg raises.

Bench

Band stretches

Bench- 45x6, 65x5, 95x3, 105x3, 120x3, 135x3, 150x1, 165x0, 165x1

First attempt at 165 my lower back twinged on me and killed momentum half way up. Stretched out, played Pantera a little louder and smoked it the second time. I hate benching! I am so damn bad at it!

Shoulders and inner pecs always hurt after pressing. Any advice friendos?

I assume your form is alright. Maybe you need more of a warm up or some experimentation with different grip widths. Just one of many ideas. On upper days I warm up with light face pulls, pushdowns, pulldowns, and then some very light front and side delt raises.

You probably have a tight pectoralis minor. Some extra warmup time like mentioned above is good, but also do some doorway stretches to loosen up the area more. Rolling with a lacrosse ball is something to try as well.

Really fucking sick. Have to drop my Info 1100 class because you can only work on it in class and she literally does not teach the material. I can’t learn that way.

Supposed to deadlift tonight. We will see how that works. Out of breath, light headed, sweaty, and dizzy just sitting here.

Did not deadlift. I instead puked until nothing was left.

No training this week. Just a sinus infection.

My grandpa had pneumonia, then had a stroke. There is no saving him. We just have to keep him as comfortable as we can until he goes. It has been really hard on my mom and uncle and it is just a sad part of our lives.

Well, my grandfather is slowly dying. We can’t help. We can only wait and do our best to keep him comfortable until he passes.

I am almost not sick. Meds are working. Just gotta push through it now.

Back to the grind tomorrow.
