The paper said “test.net”
I’ll admit that I do believe it may indeed be a pic of him (albeit an older one), BUT I think it’s one of those lucky-moment-in-time-facebook-style type of pics where the final photo gave the illusion of a big, somewhat muscled dude and not just a large, not-lean guy who likes to workout and read about bodybuilding.
This is precisely why we will never see a full figure shot, or anything other than feeble attempts to re-create that one magic moment from the 1st pic.

I should add that I read part of that thread, but the only references to a T-member visiting RV’s stomping ground in person were second-hand accounts.
Also, RV said that nobody in his gym knew that he posted here. That would surely have come up if somebody had asked after him in that gym. RV’s account conflicts with the story in the SAMA thread. Strangest of all is why someone would go to that trouble in the first place, then vanish.

For the record, and I feel I must state this and get it out in the open now while we’re on the subject, I believe that the pic is really RV.
I was one of the first to doubt it’s authenticity publicly (last year in a SAMA thread) when I went to make a gif of RV and discovered the avatar he used was called ‘daves_pic’. It occurred to me that was odd; most normal people wouldn’t take a pic of themselves and then name it with their own name. At least I’ve never done that. I would call it ‘mypic’ or ‘chest’ or ‘headshot’ or just even leave it with the digital filename generated for it by the camera.
Someone then popped into the thread, said they went to his gym and met the guy in the pic who claimed to have never even heard of the name RogueVampire or T-Nation, and thus the great debate began.
However, months later RV comes up with a new pic taken with a new camera (still shit lighting mind you) holding a piece of paper that says ‘test.nation’ (someone correct me if I’m wrong, it was a while ago). That, to me, proves that he is telling the truth or he somehow got Dave to pose for him lol.
I seriously doubt the later.

I can state without a doubt, nobody has ever come to my gym to meet me. That would be pretty tough to time, don’t you think. How would they know what time i’d be there and on what days. I belong to 2 different gyms. and I vary which one i go to.

Do you remember who the poster was? I didn’t follow the SAMA thread but I’ve heard so many variations of that story that I don’t believe it ever happened. People talk about somebody making inquiries but it seems nobody ever came forward to verify it or take credit.
I heard another version that the guy in the pic was who he claimed to be. When I brought it up on RV’s interview thread he said that nobody visited the gym, but contacted the owner via FB (that too has yet to be verified by the poster).

If you go on FB and type in fitresults and to to their page, under the section wall, you will see someone asking about me. How I found about this was someone came up to me at the gym, telling me that someone was asking if anyone knew me, on the fitresults page on fb. so i went on there and made a comment where he posted the question.

Had it been me I would’ve taken a picture with “Dave” when I met him at the gym to point out I had actually been there, but alas.
I did find it odd that the poster Flipcollar, from Texas, happened to be at that area, at that particular time in the thread lol. Very coincidental though he did spin a good yarn.
