I Need Help with Eating in High School

Sleep is helpful in the process of recovery, which is helpful in the process of building muscle. Try to get it if you can.

:triumph:yk what I’m gonna stuff my face as much as I can on Wednesday. I don’t want a loser mentality I want new Prs. Especially In squat, I found looking up makes me do the good morning while neutral doesn’t(which is why squats been feeling off lately) So I’m probably stronger than I think I am and that excites me. I also wanna make a bench Pr.

if its quality grass fed beef then quite the opposite.

But whatever, you have to respect your parents rules.- ask for lots of fish/seafood then if she’s on a ‘health’ kick, loads of free range eggs also

I’m also in highschool, when I need some calories quick I have some of the following: cereal, mass gainer shake with milk, granola bars and (1-2) spoonfuls of olive oil. Not the healthiest, not the best tasting, but it works. I’m almost 50lbs heavier than I was when I started working out

Got a blender? 2 scoops whey of choice, cup of oats, banana, ~150grams of PB, 2 cups whole milk and you’ve got an extremely tasty 1,000 calorie high protein drink.

Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. There’s zero reason why you can’t eat those every day. You don’t need 6 meals per day to put on size.

What, exactly, did you eat yesterday?

How tall are you and how lean (or not-lean) are you?

A few inexpensive, calorie-dense, simple ideas: Hard-boiled eggs, tuna salad, chicken thighs, cold (cooked) oatmeal with a scoop of protein, the real bodybuilding staple: Poo Tarts.

Sounds appetizing

Couple people have said this, but milk is the single greatest thing you can have in your diet if you’re bulking, in my opinion. Whole milk is really good and has tons of calories, and if you’re lactose intolerant you can always try some fairlife if the extra cost isn’t a huge issue. Otherwise, peanut butter sandwiches, or just peanut butter in general, can do some wonders as well. Eating a little bit when you aren’t in the mood can add a lot of calories as well. I never liked eating breakfast but having a little bit goes a long way. Otherwise if you’re on the go all the time, things like cliff bars are super great. I always had a tough time with meal timing when I was busy during school, sports, etc. but still managed to gain a ton of weight during this time period with these things. Good luck.
P.S. I’m 240 and don’t really like food or eating too much. These things have worked time and time again for me

Idk how tall I am. Probably 5 foot 11 or 6 feet. I started eating pb and jelly sandwiches and I really like the olive oil idea

I also drink like 3 cups of milk with the pb sandwiches. And like 3 bowls of cereal. 3 full plates of dinner.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I am really glad Al Gore had not yet gifted the common man with the Internet when I was in high school

Exact, shmexact. But okay. Anyway, it sounds carb-dense relatively light on protein unless you’re having a legit pound of turkey every night at dinner. So that’s an issue.

You’re lifting twice a week if I followed your log right? Getting more calories from protein will only be a good thing. Fats, like olive oil shots and peanut butter, are an easy way to bump up your calorie intake, but without enough quality protein, you’re on track for skinny-fatland (or plain ol’ fatland).

For breakfast, think more like a bowl or two of cereal and 4+ eggs (throw something green in there, because why not). Scrambling eggs takes about 3 minutes, tops.

Do you have any ab definition or are you “soft”?

Hi Kickassgum with different body dimensions

Yea i dont think so. I literally slept stoned through high school and graduated with national honors. Just wait until the real world slaps them back into reality.

i would meal prep in high school so that i could always eat every couple periods. my mom wouldn’t let me cook meat in the house either, so i bought a grill and would cook my food outside year round even if it were raining, snowing, freezing. i had a friend that would eat 4 pbj’s in one period, and then 2 hours later eat lunch. he would also drink a gallon of milk a day, anything it took to get the calories in and put the weight on. if you “don’t have time” or “want to relax” then you aren’t dedicated enough or you are prioritizing the wrong things
