I Need Advice On TRT

Hello
I am 45 and my testosterone is 361with ED , I guess because low t
I am 45 511 330lbs
I started going to the gym , I see some results but I am weak
I read I might bring back my T once I loose weight naturally , I don’t know if is true or not
I am undecided because I have a needle phobia and some people said to loose the weight first , to be honest I could use a little help as I was thinking going on TRT and add VAR

                  Testosterone. 361

• Free Testosterone. 7.1
• Estradiol. 32
• Luteinizing Hormone. 1.5
TSH 3.26
• SHBG. 38.1
• PSA. 0.39
• IGF 1. 133
DHEA. 297

Thank you

Your natural T isnt horrible but could be better and might be contributing to your ED. The first thing that stands out is your weight. No judgement here but at 5’11 you are 100 lbs overweight and “clinically obese” with BMI>30. This is your number one problem and should be your focus before considering running AAS.

As far as TRT goes, I am sure it could help you with both your weight and ED but you first need to fix your diet, exercise and sleep. Your needle phobia is not a problem as I and millions of others have had great TRT success with gels and creams (despite the naysayers, it they do work for most people).

Commit - You can do this!

Yes, as @Dgordleis said you really need to get your weight down before thinking about TRT.

This will improve as you continue to lift.

This is a misconception about using AAS. It will not cause you to lose weight. It will help you retain muscle as you diet. I think at this point though losing muscle is the least of the issues.
1-get diet in check.
2-get a workout plan together.
3-Post a training log here we can follow to help you along the way.
4-Start now!!!

You might have secondary hypogonadism considering your LH value. What does your doctor say?

Obviously you should resolve your obesity.

Adding var will make your plan not TRT and make it so that a doctor cannot manage your medication.

I will just add that bringing your weight down in and of itself will improve your T and your T/E2 ratio. The weight should be your target over the next 12 months. Leave the Var for later

I was thinking to come here and ask first as I am undecided to go TRT or not
My PCP says everything is normal
I intend to talk to a TRT clinic to see what’s their opinion
One of the questions is if I have to see an urologist or a TRT clinic , Urologist would be the less expensive option ( free ) , I saw an urologist last year but I was not very excited,

Thank you

My T is now decent , it was 220 when I first test it , hen test it last year and it was 280
I saw an urologist that prescribed Clomid 25mg/day and it went up to 440 now its down again to 360
The urologist I saw ( the one my insurance covers ) I feel is …meah … maybe I miss judge him , he looks bored and doesn’t have patience ,
I am considering TRT and VAR because I had a broken leg which I hero it will help to heal better and I hope it helps with ED and motivation also help with recovery time , I like to work harder not smarter …lol
Exercise …Check
Diet … Working o it
Sleep… That’s a big issue , I can’t sleep … another reason for TRT and yes I use a CPAP

Thank you

I see a urologist and he has been excellent. You can search local urologists/websites and often they will mention TRT in their bios - go to one of these. They will test you twice, a month or so apart, to get your baseline and make sure you qualify (I would stop the clomid shortly before your appt). From there, mine prescribed Androgel (I get the generic for $10 per month). At this office, if I wanted injections I would have had to go to the office to get them. Gel has worked great for me for almost 10 years. They will rin bloods (also covered by insurance) every 6 months to monitor you. I have never had an issue and never needed clomid, arimodex, etc

I have had a vasectomy and ammmarried so ball size/fertility not an issue for me. If needed, thay have stuff for that.

My TRT doctor of over 20 years is a urologist.

Who is excited to see a doctor?

I don’t recommend clinics.
