I’m only 23 and the hormone clinic put me on trt but I feel so wrong about it. Pre trt my levels were 260-280ngdl
Levels were 440 at 18 and just lowered on from there.
He put me on 140mg/week Test Cyp and hcg 500mcg/2xweek
For some reason I feel so wrong doing it
I just feel like I am too young for it but I tried everything else and nothing else would work.
I keep getting sick but they say it’s test flu but other than that I do feel better. Just don’t understand why I feel so wrong about doing this for life
Thanks guys
What have you tried?
Im on the same boat buddy and I’m even younger than you are (20 years old). I do feel very guilty at times, but I feel 10x better when I remember how things were pre TRT and my depression. I dont feel 100% better (like my sex drive hasn’t recovered yet) but atleast I can cope with my problems better on test. Just ask yourself this whenever you’re feeling guilty: Would you rather live with low T?
Also, remember that having low T has more of a risk than being on TRT especially at a young age, that is something my family wont understand but I can live with it knowing im doing myself a favor.
I felt miserable for the first 6 weeks, you have seized control of the HPTA and the body must adapt to the exogenous testosterone. It’s actually good you tried everything else before starting TRT, compliance will be better since you know you tried treatments first.
Describe your protocol, it’s not ideal to inject one large dose per week. Young men have frequent peaks every couple of hours, TRT stretches these peaks out over days and the less frequent you inject, the further you are from a natural rhythm.
When I was injecting twice weekly I had good numbers except it didn’t feel like it, I found injecting smaller doses more frequently caused me to respond more strongly to TRT and have learned it’s not just about the numbers, but the more frequent peaks that my body was responding to.
Your right man. What’s your protocol, levels now compared to when you started, and how long til you felt better
Thanks again for helping me feel better about being on trt
Why did you feel terrible the first Six weeks? My protocol is 200mg/ml .4ml Monday and Thursday so .8ml weekly comes out to 160ml per week.
Also he gave me hcg at 500 2 times a week m/th.
Is this frequent enough? What should I change
Thanks system
We need your SHBG levels, this determines dosing and a good injection frequency.
My levels are always 1200-1400 during the week, it took a while for me to feel better. Getting your estrogen at an ideal is the hardest part. No problem dude ![]()
Check your free test and e2 (sensitive).
What were your levels before TRT? I’m 21, and currently have 367 ng/dL. I’m fighting with my doctors right now.
I took over 10 tests and all of them gave me a reading of 250-380ng/dl with a very low free T. I never realized I was on low T(I thought I was just a very anxious and obsessive person). My low libido didn’t really kick in when I was on low T until I started anti depressants. When I started TRT, I didnt notice a benefit until my 8th week on. I’m slowly starting to transform into a very social and confident person. I’ve plateaued in the gym for many years before TRT, and now I’m hitting PR after PR, my libido still hasn’t picked up but I’ve also haven’t managed to control my estrogen completely yet. It’s not completely perfect yet, but I feel 10x better than I did in my low T days and would never go back. Keep fighting bro, i’ve had to go through 6 different doctors before I found someone willing to help me.
Doctors won’t help you until you’re under the range
I was at 260 and the range was 250-800
They said if I’m 10 points lower they will help me otherwise all the symptoms I’m having is in my head .
Try a run of self medicating trt. Make sure you buy things to recover. See if it helps you then decide if it’s something you wanna do. If you don’t know where to get anything PM me I’ll help you out. But Goodluck getting any doctor to help you out
