Yes, great squatting, congrats.
Is there a smaller tire? I daresay the fatigue didn’t help but it sounds like your issue mainly comes down to technique. Better to practise with a lighter tire until you have that down and then progress.

I flipped a tire about a year ago and it is an odd movement. You’re not pulling up but rather pushing into it. Very awkward. I bet if you had someone giving you cues on your form, you’d get it.
Congrats on the squat PR ![]()
squat Pr and cool job!
it’s all good in here ![]()
Well a cool thing happened yesterday. This doesn’t look like parallel to me but I guess I -almost- squatted 200lbs. I have no idea what parallel feels like so I’ve been counting on the other guys to tell me when to go back up. I think they missed it this one but, here it is anyway!
Good job Sol - different feds have different height specs. You’d be hitting a little high for us. Also try bringing your elbows forward, that will help to keep your chest up and prevent the dreaded fold-over.
I’d definitely call that high by a few inches. If you decide to compete, most feds require the hip crease to dip below the top of the knee. Some feds are more lenient than others, as Frenchy said. I will say that you handle that weight with such incredible ease that should you decide to squat lower you could easily do it, I believe. How nice to have such a large cheering section. Wow.
Great work none the less!
K is right…it must be so cool to lift with a good group like that!
Nice work on the squat. Came up quickly! You’re good for more for sure. Love the support from your training partners!
