I Hate Socialism

Since 2005, Norway has had a government with three parties: The Socialist Left party (Left Radicals), The Labor party (Social Democrats / Socialist) and the Center Party (Center/ leftist), and believe me, it sucks. Here’s some of the reasons why:

  • Even though we got huge oil reserves, we pay 9.7 dollars per gallon gas. The Leader of the Socialist Left party (Which is the finance minister even though they only got 5% of the votes) said that by the end of the year, they hope to increase the gas prices up to 13 dollars per gallon.

Why do they want the prices so high? They have two reasons, and both of the reasons are stupid:

  • Help the environment.
  • fight for equality

So how do raising the gas prices help the environment? It doesn’t.
They haven’t even spent a single cent of the money they get from the high gas prices on environment. Everything goes to the government’s money bin.

Does the enormous gas prices lead to equality? Hell no! Everyone who lives decentralized either needs to spend huge amounts of their budget on gas, or move to cities and towns. And do you really think millionaires cares about paying a couple of dollars extra on gas? Nope, but the poor does.

Another example of their stupidity is their climate fond. This year they made a deal with indonesia, Norway is paying 600 million dollars a year (Which is a huge sum considering that it’s Norway were talking about here) to prevent people from chopping down the rain forest.

How the fuck is that going to help the rain forest when Indonesia doesn’t even have plan how they are going to spend the money to prevent it?

The only thing socialist are good for are entertainment. I laughed so hard i almost cried when one of those feminist socialist assholes wanted to ban cars by 2015. Imagine everyone having to dump their cars and buy electrical cars.

The media is one of the reasons why we got lots of socialists here in Norway. I recently read that only 2% of the journalists in Norway supported John Mccain, while 51% supported Obama and 47% supported Clinton. Almost all teachers are socialists to. In my entire lifetime i have only met one conservative teacher. The rest of them are left-radical idiots. This year they have forced us to:

  • Watch the Al Gore propaganda movie and talk about it for two hours afterwards.

  • Two stupid so-called geologist talked for hours about how the environment is going to destroy us all. I confronted them many times, but they didn’t have any references of anything they said.

  • One time we saw “The day after tomorrow” and afterwards the teacher talked about how this could be a realistic scenario in the future.

It pisses me off that teachers, media, politicians, etc. is trying to brainwash us to believe in the global warming hysteria without being allowed to ask question about it’s legitimity…

Is “fighting equality” the official goal? Do you mean “in-equality”. Either way, a gas tax is regressive. It hurts the poor more than the rich.

People are driving a lot less now that gas is expensive. I’m also seeing huge funds go into alternative energy research.

So, for the sake of a cleaner air, I think they might be onto something.

Sorry, i ment in-equality. That’s what the Left-radicals stand for. Fight inequality, but all they are doing is making the opposite happen. Higher gas prices, higher income taxes and more stupid taxes is just causing more in-equality.

Norway is one of the egalitarian societies around. They always rank in the top-two on gender equality, and top-ten in social matters.

For someone who says that he/she hates socialism, you seem to be more concerned with the methods than the end-goal. That strikes me as odd.

Sure, Norway is a great country, and one of the most equal in the world. Don’t misunderstand me, i love my country, what i don’t like is the current government. It’s the most radical government we’ve ever had, and it has done more bad than good.

Even though many think that we have always had a socialist government, it’s not true, the former governments has mostly been social democrats.

I’m not only concerned with the methods, but with the end-goal too. Do we really want a society were noone have the chance to get rich?

Shouldn’t people who spend five years of education earn more than a other jobs that doesn’t require any education? I think it only make people lazy and careless when it goes too far.

I can already see the tendencies of it. I know lots of people, even at 19-20 years old that’s to lazy to work, so they live of the welfare benefits and sit home doing nothing.

Here in Norway, you can earn more money as an uneducated industry mechanic than you can with a 3 - or 5 years teacher education, personally i think thats unfair.

Err… socialists are usually the guys and gals who want to forcefully correct that. A capitalist would say, “people get payed what they deserve to make”.

You are living at the beginning of the ANTI-industrial revolution. It has been decided by the Davos 600 (amongst other groups) that the world cannot tolerate a large middle class consuming resources.

The goal is therefore to freeze time and hopefully roll it all back to the Feudal era. Your children won’t wear shoes and will plow a field with a mule and a wooden plow. There will only be electric lights in rich parts of cities.

Only a very few will ever fly in an airplane. Cell phones and computers will be phased out for all but the ‘essential’ people, and because the spread of knowledge is dangerous.

In summary, the world 50 years from now will somewhat resemble the Soviet Union in the 1940s.

To the OP: Thanks to oil revenue, doesn’t Norway have the highest per capita GDP? I’m also under the impression that your Sovereign Wealth Fund is the largest state fund in the world - larger than Saudi Arabia, which is really saying something. So if the state has plenty of revenue to play with, why not lower taxes?: a pro-growth policy to raise all boats?

Yeah, we had the highest GDP per capita, now were forth (Wikipedia). Our wealth fund is the second largest in the world though.

The thing about socialism is that they don’t want growth, they want to freeze time, if not roll it back.

They are lowering the research budget every year, and even though we have enough Thorium for 10.000 years, with more value than 1000x the oil value, they refuse to even pay a single dollar to research the needed technology for it.

Even though it’s impossible for a Thorium reactor to melt down, they rather install wind mills and other low-efficient power sources over our whole fucking country.

It’s also pretty funny how thousands demostrated when the government decided not to install a cleaning system for Co2 emmision on a new gasworks. Why install it on one gaswork when you can pay the same sum and clean four (Or even five or six) of them in China. Socialists seem to think that we don’t share the earth.

Yes. Nuclear power would be an excellent way to raise the standard of living worldwide. But then, all those people will want to eat, take vacations, build new homes, and so forth. The whacko elite (see Lixy) regard that as a catastrophe of the first magnitude — they’ve bought into the global warming hoax. Their ideal goal is to lower the world population to about 1 billion, with most people as serfs. They, of course, will not cut back on THEIR consumption (see Al Gore’s houses).

Lixy is behind nuclear power 100%. I fail to see the connection between it and socialism though.

Nuclear power would dramatically improve our standard of living, because of not having to pay so much for petroleum. When people are more prosperous, esp in 3rd world countries, they have more children. In agricultural/undeveloped economies, children are one of the few viable investments.

Therefore, environmentalists don’t like nuclear power. More people, more problems, according to them. They prefer wind and solar, solutions that are not viable for the forseeable future. Of course, THAT’S why they like those things. You don’t build new factories with a windmill powering the assembly lines. They doom the world’s poor to more of the same.

I suspect that nuclear power will fade away because of ‘environmental’ concerns, but its not what the elite/environmentalists really mean — its the increase in human population due to the prosperity that nuke brings that they hate.
