The last was of Bolongo Bay, just off my balcony. Though the water looked tempting there, it was mainly just dead coral and sea urchins. That doesn’t make for good swimming!
This pic is a mountain shot of Maegan’s Bay: perennially ranked one of the best beaches in the world. It’s also a huge beach, not just some little cove.
Word is Jordan and the Clinton’s have houses on the right finger of land somewhere here.
Now this is good swimming water!
No surf, no coral/rocks, just white sand and warm, clear waters. Like a big bathtub, really.
Oh yeah, this is Maegan’s Bay again.
This is another of Maegan’s Bay.
I wish I had more but I didn’t buy the darn digital camera till two days before we left.
FYI, I guess it would help to tell you where this is: St. Thomas, USVI. We also made two day trips over to St. John. That’s when I wished I had my camera! If you think these pictures are nice, you should see Trunk Bay, and Hawksnest beace on St. John.
We were also blesses with amazing weather. The only rain to speak of was some quick showers at night or early in the morning. Otherwise, about 90 degrees, clear, and humid.
Those really interested in St. Thomas though can see the island and neighboring islands through cruises. Monday through Wednesday, all the major cruise ships dock in Charlotte-Amalie.
Lastly, I got in about 8 dives but with no quality underwater camera, I can’t relate those experiences. Maybe in the future I’ll get an underwater case for this camera.
Jared, I have to go back to school Tuesday, so these pictures depress me as well. ![]()
Yeah those pics are depressing… Soo depressing.
Well I can say a few things are lacking in them… ie no topless sunbathers that I can see.
Another depressing thing is i’ve never been there, heck i’ve never been anywhere in the caribbean.
Looks like paradise, pooh. Wouldn’t mind at all owning a little getaway cottage there to escape to once in awhile…
Escape to? I’d fucking live there! A nice two bedroom home, smallish; a huge home GYM; a nice woman friend and I could live out my days there happy and content. God willing one day I will.
That’s my plan one day, Mike. One can purchase a condo on St. Thomas for around 100-200K.
However, double that for the coveted St. John real estate.
Definitely a worthy goal, pooh!
And I agree, that sounds great, RS, but what about snow skiing/boarding in the winter?
You are worthless. ![]()
Looks like fun.
Pooh - jumping wildly in the air Pick me! Pick me!
Lovely vacation spot… Damn…
Let’s go…
You would get tired of it after a while. My roommates parents lived in St. Thomas for a year running a Tiffany’s gift shop. So he would go down there for Christmas. He said he hated it and would have rather been in the Mountains with some snow. Maybe it was just what he expected that time of year though. Now his parents are living in Boca Raton.
