I Can Not Believe I Am Doing This

I believe you to be a troll.

Third, to narrow your middle, direct ab work is probably not going to give you excellent results there. Overall BF% reduction will contribute, and lean mass gains will automatically consume more energy. Hopefully some of the other members will contribute something of value.[/quote]

I saw an interview with Stan McQuay (spelling?) a couple of months back. He commented that for aesthetic abs and a narrow mid section, he tries not to go too intense with the ab work. I’ve also noticed that the more I train my abs, the chunkier my abs and mid section gets. (and the stronger I get in some lifts)

So yeah, ab work is great for performance, but I actually preferred my midsection before I started training my abs seriously.

Obviously, for a lean midsection, it’s more about overall fat loss than anything, as you can’t spot reduce with any exercise.

No woman should really be doing direct ab work IMHO. You don’t want a man waist, do you?

While we are on this topic, can someone link me to some good articles that support this argument (ab work = not helpful)? Clearly many of us feel this way. Women in my family insist on doing N-hundred crunches a day despite my disapproval.

If they read something by a professional on this site they will certainly stop. I tried using the search function but failed.

This would also benefit the OP as well.

I am gobsmacked at how you guys in the USA converse with a lady.

I am actually feeling pretty enraged by it TBH.

To the OP, my training partner is a lady, and she trains and diets more or less the same as me and looks HOT!

Clean your diet up, lots of protein, time your carbs, do regular cardio, and lift heavy between 8-12 reps.

Focus your exercises on compound movements to build overall bodymass.

I think you have a great base and I am sure you will do fine.

Persistence is the key.

  1. talk about how much you work out
  2. flex your muscles and look in the mirror in front of her
  3. criticize her for not working out
  4. make sure women know you do it because you want to be healthy and like to challenge your body…make sure they know you view it as a sport
  5. tell her how beautiful she is…they may be intimidated by your manliness(i know how that one feels)

make sure women know you have balance in your life…you have a brain and a heart.

No one cares about your fiance and how he’s giving. He probably isn’t built enough if you like it considering most women don’t go for the bodybuilding types.

I disagree as it’s fun to flex your muscles in front of your girl as it’s to show her what you can give her instead of the skinny chode she knows at work.

She absolutly needs to be criticised for not working out if she’s disgustingly getting bigger. The average woman puts on at least 10 lbs after she’s married.

You shouldn’t care about what the woman thinks of you.

Telling a woman how beautiful she is is a crock of shit as ignoring them is much more effective. All you get is an “aww thanks” when you tell a woman how beautiful she is. It’s better to show your confident and don’t need a woman at your side to feel happy. That’s when the women will flock to you. Tell her how ugly she is and see what happens. She’ll laugh and think it’s funny. Telling a woman how beautiful she is is what all other men do especially if she is beautiful. Men, don’t be a pussy and sell out for a dumb bitch. LOL

Damn that sounded too hostile. LOL

Women don’t want sweet giving men. Even though they say they do. Quit kidding yourself.

Ah but I am Welsh not English!

oh, im sorry to hear that.

Not sure if I this thread has hit the end of it’s lifespan or not.

Anywho, I would recommend doing interval work on the bike or treadmill. 30 minutes 3 - 4 times per week should work. Use intervals of 30 minute work (sprinting) and 1 minute to recover.

Try walking or jogging 2 x per week for 30 minutes too.

Eat every 2 - 3 hours. Mostly protein, low cards and fat. IF you drink anything but water, stop! Drink water as often as you can.

I would also incorporate squats, lunges, and variations of presses and rows.

You may already know start with big muscles first and finish with smaller ones.

Try complex lifts and burn more calories. Try mixing lunging and over head pressing, squats and cable rows. Really there are all kinds of ways to mix it up.

Keep your heartrate up and keep it intense. Diet, sleep, H2O, and exerices all have to be balanced.

I like to take it one session at a time.

Good luck.

X2

I see this happen every now and again. It works on dumb women and young (inexperienced) women 75% of the time. Which makes it barely a statistic.

I guess it’s cool to “master the game” so you can go through the motions of “playing” while actually thinking about other things i.e. quantum physics, your novel, your finances, what to buy your mother for mothers day, your diet and the such.

But then again I actually enjoy interacting with females. If I wanted to ignore her I’d just marry her.

Thank you Mak. You said it all.
